She wasn't delivering. Its a shame
True, but I think it had to do with her growth/puberty. There's usually always issues when skaters grow in height and they have to adjust. Some adjust in record time while others take longer. She may just need more time.

If that was the reason they kicked her out, wouldn't they have done so sooner?

From what their IG account was posting, to me it seemed like they actually wanted to make her one of their stars (in the absence of Sofia Muravieva, who up until recently didn't take part in any shows) - Nastya was in basically all of Plushenko's shows and they posted her programs and pictures a lot, more than probably any of their other skaters.🤔

For sure. But maybe her talent is not seen anymore. She would have been a perfect fit for tuberitze: very beautiful, little lost and broken, but talented. But now she switched to a no name coach. Indeed strange

She was the most beautiful and very markable. Maybe she wanted a higher cut? Yana might be very demanding and exploitative from all we know

Which skaters does he coach now?
Lyubov Rubtsova for instance (in Eteri's team previously):

I think we did not get it properly. They have done it for Anna's own protection...
They have already posted an "explanation":

"ISU is supporting Olympic Day through posting on the official website and social media. The goal of this campaign is to inspire people to celebrate the power of sport through attractive sports images. This campaign highlights not only Olympic champions, but also other active figure skaters"

They probably like to sink lower and lower. Very, very "honest" explanation. After such publications, ISU leaders can act in pornographic movies with peace of mind - there is nothing to be ashamed of anyway already.

It would be less obnoxious if they just owned up to it and said they aren't going to acknowledge Russian athletes accomplishments while the war is ongoing. Instead they release this idiotic statement, after everyone noticed who they excluded and called them out for it and they try to brush off like they didn't want to just celebrate champions but yet the only 2022 champion that they didn't include is the only 1 who happens to be Russian and we are all supposed to be that stupid and believe that it was a complete coincidence.

Yeah, we will put 3 champs there and the fact that the one leaving the place for some other "active figure skater" is Anna is only a pure conicidence. I believe in 50 Shades of Shame there were more convincing, ehm, performances than this.

The ISU is as low as it gets. No skater has done more to distance herself from the Russian government not that I judge any other skater who met with Putin or government officials. A great response from Anna.
Thanks god that russia doesn'need to follow the lead of ISU anymore and can build a new standard of figure skating on their own terms. Its going to be a firework of class and art and modern medicine

Shameful

Some might disagree but Evgenia Medvedeva ate this up. I loved watching her performances and facial expressions. I know some people say she "did too much" but for me it was perfect. She was very "in character" and gave it her all.

I totally agree.

Evgenia's ability to convey emotions to the spectator (to me) is amazing. In this regard, I think she is the best skater ever, imo.

UN-freaking-SAT. There’s a saying in my line of work: “If you’re wrong, stay wrong.” This sentiment applies here. Get it right the first time. If not, stay silent, take your licks, and do better next time. But no. Instead of keeping their stupid mouths shut, these fools want to insult everyone’s intelligence and make it worse than it already was with their BS. I’m so irritated right now.
