I think this result is a scandal. It is not good for this sport, if 3A guys like Mroz and Brezina does not reach the podium. Figure skating is a sport, not ballett.

Okay, I really loved the competition. It is just currently overshadowed by the fact that in my opinion Borudulin was underscored. I get that before the competition most people said that Rippon is so mature, that was before anybody ever talked about Borudulin - but Borudulin is not the tiniest bit less mature (just again my opinion) than Rippon. And tonight Borudulin had the spark and passion that I missed while watching Rippon. His choreography is creative (he got half a point less than Rippon for choreography) - it is not Morosov, but does everything have to be Morosov to be good? They could have at least given the freeskate to Borudulin...

But congrats to all the guys - there was real quality tonight. The last 5 men were especially amazing, so clean - I am amazed. Hopefully the "real" worlds won't be a let-down after this one.

I was the one hyping Adam and doing it since 2005. So what? The media didn't.

MY OVERALL VIEWS

The best figure skaters: Guan and Brezina

The Best Competitive Skaters: Boroludin and Rippon

The Skater Needing a Change : Mroz.

Of the above listed anyone can pick the winner and no argument.

Gratulasions for medalist  It was greate competision. I'm personaly likes the most Borodulin, he was greate. Well judeges have other opionon - happen.

The top 5 guys were really impressive; it's great to see where men's FS will be someday.
My personal fave though is Adam, and I congratulate him on his win. It might not have been his best, but none of the top 5 were really spot on all the way through. (I have no idea about the rest of the field; top 5 was all I managed to see) I really like Artem, he will be a force to reckon with in seniors. But I still would have given the edge to Adam. Michael almost stole the show for me though, I hadn't seen him before this competition and wow, he's talented.

Michael's SP should have been 1st place. He's got such natural rhythm and flow not to mention such great technical. He's the one to watch in the future.

Oh come on, nobody wants to get rid of the music.

My remark from my last post: Morosov isn't automatically better - seems to be wrong, because that's why Borodulin lost - take a look at the protocols - Borodulin only got level 1 on both of his step sequences and level 3 on two spins.

And no, penguin girl, I don't think that the competition was rigged, I just think that the judges are sometimes a bit biased and Borodulin didn't impress the judges before this competition as much as Rippon did - and therefore had a harder time to get those high PCS. He may need to upgrade his step sequences - but this still doesn't explain the differences in the PCS today. In my opinion Rippon was more tense and less secure today than he was at nationals and at other competitions this season - but the Judges didn't see it that way.

As for Brenzina - he wasn't as good as he was yesterday. The step-sequences were great, but it took him lots of time to get into the program today. The jumps are of course superb, the height on them is scary.

And the Chinese guy - he may not have a 3A, but from all these great performances today - he had the cleanest one, not one step-out, or turn-out - not one foot wrong. Additionally he has such a soft quality on the ice. His program was a bit blank, but he will grow.
