Figure skaters that remind you of other skaters?

Were there skaters active or retired ones that were bringing to your mind other ones? I mean their skating skyle, costumes, technique or looks?

For instance Isabeau Levito reminds me Evgenia Medvedeva for her style of skating & artistry (and Isabeau said she was one of her idols) - she isn't doing the miming though (and I'm glad for that)

Daiwei Dai reminds me Han Yan (he makes use of some very deep edges!), sadly unlike this retired Chinese skater he doesn't have a great triple axel ... also for some reason I get Keegan Messing out of him, but it could be more of their body type.

Deniss Vasiljevs and Stephane Lambiel (great artistry & spins)

Alexei Yagudin & Adam Siao Him Fa (similarities in choreography & big jumps)

Nobunari Oda and ... Mao Asada, their respective axel techniques were very similar looking I think

Meryl Davis & Charlie White - Marina Anissina & Gwendal Peizerat (the speed & artistry, strong technique, flashy lifts, Gwendal's & Charlie's blond mops of hair)

and ... that's gonna be random as hell

Mariia Seniuk & Irina Slutskaya for excessive, ungainly looking crossovers - I'm sorry. I recently rewatched some old programs of Irina and I couldn't stop noticing that sometimes.:drama:

Haha, I like this subject. It's strange, but Rika and Ryiuchi (pairs) remind me of Natalia Mishkutionok and Artur Dmitriev although slightly less powerful. In ID I have to admit that Laurence and Guillaume remind me a little of Marina Klimova and Sergei Ponomarenko (Anthony's parents) in their hey day: dramatic, powerful and excellent skaters. And I always feel Jason Brown reminds me of Toller Cranston, although the last was slightly more original.

Timur Babaev-Smirnov looks like he's Aliev's lost twin.

My observations are mostly based on physical characteristics, not skating styles.

Alisa Efimova reminds me of Katia Gordeeva (I noticed this before Alisa & Misha's current free skate). In fact I mentioned this to another skating fan friend during 2024 US Nationals.

Back in the early 2000's I thought Alisa Drei looked like Irina Slutskaya (with the short haircut). Alisa Drei looks a lot different now as a coach (I would not have recognized her without her being identified by Mark Hanretty).

When I saw Tim Koleto ice dance with Misato, he looked like Todd Eldredge of the mid 1990's (hair style)

Shoma's costume for Bolero for Shoma's show reminds me of.... Yuzuru's costume for Bolero for Yuzuru's show, lol.
Would be nothing special if not for both costumes being based on the similar traditional Japanese attire for the same piece of completely non-Japanese music, one coming just a few months after the other, and both as group numbers, too :)
In the case of Yuzu it was obvious why, he skated his Bolero with Mansai Nomura performing on the wooden floored stage in the middle of the rink, the greatest star of Noh and Kyogen traditional Japanese theatre who had made Bolero into an iconic tribute to the Great Earthquake victims as early as 2011, and they do use traditional costumes in Noh and Kyogen so it felt perfectly natural that Yuzuru synched his look to Nomura's costume for their joint performance.
As for Shoma, I have no idea why apart from him simply liking what Yuzuru had done and getting inspired.,... :)
Maybe someone knows more and can share.

I said this about Alisa the first time I ever saw her.
