Delobel/Schoenfelder scored 40.73 so B/A definitely have their work cut out for them in the OD and FD. On the first twizzle, I think, it looked like Isabelle was a tiny bit unsteady on her feet, but it was almost unnoticeable...just a very small hesitation, and the score obviously didn't suffer for it.

Faiella/Scali were good too. The Norwegian commentator said that she liked how they used their faces as well as their bodies to express the character of the dance.

Oh I was late with the news, sorry for being so repetitive.

Bravo a Isa and Olivier and also to F/S-i am very happy for them....And now .....GO Meryl and Charlie!!

They've got 40.73. It's over.

Not necessarily. B/A can still kickass in the OD and the FD. I think the pressure got to them. They've never been the favorites going into Worlds. In the past, they've always been the hunters than the hunted. I'm not worried about 2010. This will make them stronger.

Ok, looking at the scores, what happend to Canada?:eek:I expected W/P to be much higher. Canada will be lucky to hold onto 3 places for next year. Also, as much as I love B/A and as much as I want B/A to win gold, I won't be disappointed if Del/Scho win gold. I love their program this year. The music is just gorgeous.

There's still another group left to skate with Virtue and Moir, Davis and White, and the Russians.

Not necessarily. All they need is for V/M to finish 2nd and they will get three spots. Given B/A's error and the gap between 1st and 3rd currently, there is plenty of room for them to move in and grab silver or better. We'll see.

Okay, so V/M and K/N still to come....it will be VERY interesting to see how they factor in. I would never have predicted F/S to be so far up at this point. Looks like B/A have totally put themselves out of contention in the CD — I would never have predicted that. I'd almost go ahead and call it now for Del/Schoe for gold.

Really bad news for Belbin/Agosto but in all honesty the judges were waay too generous. P/B and even the Kerrs which were great should be ahead of them. Their OD is not as strong as Del/Scho's either so its a rough uphill climb for them from now.

Im dissapointed for Cappellini & Lanotte too but they've always seem very weak on the CD.

No, for three spots you need two finishes that add up to less than 13. So Virtue and Moir could win and it would still only two spots if neither team is able to make the top twelve!

Well, the Italians have already been strong in the CD. I mean look at Fusar-Poli and Margaglio at the 2006 Olympics in the CD when they finished 1st ahead of Navka and Kostomarov of Russia

As for Belbin and Agosto, It is not over till it's over and B/A have a very strong OD and FD and the fact Delobel and Schoenfelder have been known to make mistakes in the past

Don't you think that B/A can still win this thing? Delobel/Schoenfelder won the CD and OD at Europeans, but Dom/Shab still won the whole thing. Not that I know anything about icedance, but it may be a bit early to cry.

But they won both by very little. It was less than two point's difference going into the FD. This is nearly six points difference! Plus DomShabs seem to be getting very high scores indeed whenever they skate clean....
