Men's Long Program

Jeff singing his anthem along with the singers. Ok he hold it all ceremony long but now he is tearing up, it's ok Jeff to cry!!

I think perhaps I should explain my view about what Johnny did. The other two U.S. skaters are 9th and 10th. That means that Johnny *had* to make the podium if the U.S. was to have three entries next year. For the sake of all the other U.S. male single skaters, I am very glad that he skated in a cautious way that pretty much guaranteed him a spot on the podium. I think it was highly responsible of him, and I hope that the USFS appreciates that.

Congratulations, Canada! You have had a brilliant Worlds!

Johnny said though that he didn't care so much about the three spots. And honestly if Verner, Lambiel, and Dai skated how they were capable fo skating that wouldn't have medaled. I think nerves were some of it. But still it was a respectable skate, and I'm glad it medaled.

Good for Voronov-4th in the Free!

Wow, Canada placed over the United States in EVERY SINGLE DISCIPLINE. How crazy is that?

I have been thinking that all week. There was a time when I was VERY concerned for skating in Canada. Not anymore after this amazing week!

DId you ever think we would have a men's world champion in this day and age WITHOUT a quad attempt? Kinda lessens my hate of COP!!

LOL Jeff is so confused, he is not used to this so he didn't know what the photographers were asking him.

That's ABBA??

And we're done.

Okay, I like ABBA, but they are playing 'winner takes it all'???
Um...... Is it just me?? That's a bit......
I don't know what to say.:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Congrats to ....

- Jeff Buttle - who did the competition of his life and won rightfully! (And it's never to late ....)

Having not seen anyone skate, I still want to say I am thrilled Johnny made the podium. This has been a rebuilding year for him and I would say it's been a success. I'm very happy for him.

I'm so happy for Jeff :) and Joubert skated like a true champion, considering the season he had and coming from a 6th place...!

I am happy for him but I wish that he had executed his program elements to their full potential like he did at Nationals and some of the GP events!

I really want to see Johnny skate a Worlds LP that's not error-ridden!

Congrats to Jeff what a skate!!
Glad Johnny got a medal hopefully he will be very happy with the bronze.

I'm aware of that. I wish he would have won his 1st Worlds medal with a more dazzling performance, too, but otoh almost everyone in the final group have been lackluster (some more, some less). But I'm still happy for Johnny. :)

So countries with 3 spots:
Canada, USA, Japan
with 2: Russia, can't think of who else w/o the final standings list.

OT: on a side note: how many from each field skate in the exhibition? Is it the Top 4?
