Dancing with the Stars -- Vote for Kristi!

I agree about Marlee = she was really good = your right Dee she is an inspiration = I voted for her too = and Kristy too

Kristi was AWESOME last night... I loved her. She was hot!

but I'm kinda tired of the playing down her 'performance experience' does she not remember Stars On Ice and playing the one that all the boys want. I've seen her get steamy hot with a lot of skaters, and it helped with the mambo last night!

^ Yeah, Kristi has a tremendous advantage. She knows how to perform, how to work with a choreographer, how to work with a partner. She knows where the camera is and where the judges are at all times  . She knows how to fill space with movement, how to match movement to music, how to interpret the character of the dance.

Plus...she's KRISTI YAMAGUCHI!

I don't vote by phone, I vote on line. You can sign up a friend whos not voting and use their email to get extra votes. Last night on line voting was slow most of the time I had to keep logining in but it saves the number of votes you still have.
Because I used my honey's email Kristi got 24 votes
Gee maybe I should use my work email also ;) just a thought

I felt sorry for Monica Seles. She tried hard and learned a lot in the short time she was on. Still, she and Penn were the worst lady and man, so I wasn't surprised that they went home.

Kristi did a good job of pretending to look worried when they started reading off the names.

(BTW, Mario needs to hold his elbow up in his quickstep. :) )

Although Penn's technique was obviously problematic, I thought he _was_ entertaining and I was hoping against hope he'd stay.

I wanted Adam to go home. I wasn't impressed with his second dance any more than his first, and I thought his posture was very hunched -- which the judges normally pick on mercilessly, but they didn't say anything to him.

Also, Adam thinks he's funny, but he's not really. He always evades a question to throw in what's supposed to be a funny aside, but it falls flat to me. But that's just a personal preference. I bet he'll be the next man to go, though.

And, of course, dancing skill is only part of it. It's a popularity contest, of course. But still fun to watch!

And I just can't get over how lovely Kristi is, and always such a classy person.

Kristi was amazing again last night. But after reading her blog, I'm wondering who's watching the kids? Since her parents were in the audience, it's not Grandma. Could she really be going a 2 - 4 weeks without seeing her kids to dance in a show? That doesn't sound like her.

Kristi's daughters are in L.A. now. I believe her mom came down to L.A. to help watch them. Don't know who watches them during the show, but I do think she has extended family in the So Cal area. Her husband though is still playing hockey so they are separated from each other right now.

I agree that Kristi's biggest advantage is that she's Kristi Yamaguchi. She can't help but be fabulous!

they could also have a studio daycare available to them while mom is on stage during the show, etc...

^ Thanks for the links! (I can't believe there is a web site called "Celebrity Babies.")

They [Kristi's daughters] both love to dance and got a chance to dance with Mark (Ballas, Kristy's dance partner). I think Emma [age 2] has a little crush on Mark!...
 :agree:

I had read the stories where she and the girls were relocating to SoCal during the show, but then her blog said the girls were still at home because the oldest was in preschool. Then I saw her mom in the audience the other night and I was just wondering about the girls.

My older one, Keara, is 4, and was telling all her friends and teachers about me doing the show -- even before she was supposed to be telling them!
I am imagining that conversation.

Keara: My Mom is going to be on Dancing with the Stars!

Teacher: Your Mother is certainly an accomplished lady. You know, she won an Olympic Gold medal in figure skating.

Keara: Yeah, yeah, whatever. But she's going to be on DANCING WITH THE STARS!!!!! ;)

Thanks, purplecat. I noticed her mom and dad in the audience, but I sure didn't see everyone else she mentioned (not that I would recognize them all, but you know what I mean).
