What is thé country of cimlova cirisano ?

This isn't by any means scientific, but they are wearing matching body warmers in the photo that @AlexBreeze posted. And Denisa's body warmer has a Czech flag and country name on the left hand side of it.

In the photo posted above, the way Denisa is standing means she is obscuring the left hand side of Dario's body warmer. This could be a strategic move to hide references to another country that are on it. But, I managed to track down the original album of photos that she posted on her Instagram, and the second photo shows that Dario's body warmer is completely plain.

I suspect this is a cryptic way of saying that they will represent the Czech Republic. If they were representing another country, it would have made more sense to have Dario at the front obscuring the country references on Denisa's body warmer. (Of course, this would not have made for a good photo, because Dario is a lot taller than Denisa).

The Czech and Italian Feds seem to have a very good relationship, and are constantly trading skaters (largely thanks to Ondřej Hotárek trying to find the best option for his students). So, I'm sure which of those countries Denisa and Dario will represent, if indeed they are partnering up, will get sorted easily enough between them.

So let's hope the Russian Fed is also agreeable and doesn't throw a spanner in the works...

Im pretty sure Italy, because Dario likely has citizenship given he was born there and Cimlova has eu citizenship so releases shouldn't be difficult. Also they probably would train in Italy given its the european hub for ice dancing atm.
Take this with a grain of salt, but Denisa’s insta story shows she’s flying to Montreal… this of course may have nothing to do with IAM but interesting nonetheless.

You are right. The Czech Fed is asking for a release for Cirisano.

Apologies if this has already been posted on the Forum elsewhere:

Balázs Nagy shared an Instagram post showing himself and Chelsea Liu practising a triple twist, captioned "We’re back". Not sure if this is an indication of a new partnership? And, if so, whether they would consider competing for the US or for Hungary (the latter have 2 spots at Worlds after Pavlova & Sviatchenko's 7th place finish)?

OMG, I'd be so happy to see Chelsea return to competitive skating :yahoo:

Should they be a legit pair (and I feel like the post could suggest that, plus the fact that he was doing tryouts two or so months ago), I'd hope they opt for representing Hungary. Hungary has two spots at Euros and Worlds with just one pair currently being able to fill them, so they wouldn't have to fight for their spots. Chelsea hasn't competed internationally for a year and a half, so she should also have no issues getting a release. 😌

What does EU citizenship have to do with release? Skaters don’t need to be released by their country, they need to be released by the skating federation of the country they represented. So if they wanted to skate for Italy, Cimlova would need to be released by Czech skating federation and Dario by Russian skating federation. Skating federations don’t give a damn whether someone is from a country in EU or not. France took ages to release Massot and yet France and Germany are in EU.

i am not sure I would wish anyone to really represent Hungary at this point... considering the problems within their Fed.

Knierim Frazier article Implies possible stepping away/retirement for now? Last paragraph seems ambiguous

It certainly does. I would think that they could decide to come back but à la Jason Brown type of thing... after GP season... but that's an optimistic reading of the interview.

Well, Brandon is going into his senior year in college in California and Alexa's husband is a newly appointed head coach across the country. Sounds like never the twain shall meet. Jason had only himself to consider and wasn't involved in school to the extent Brandon is.

What i meant is that its easier (generally) for inter eu country changes

This would be the perfect time for them to take competition off (possibly still doing exhibitions) & then to decide by summer/GP of 2025 if they want to prep for 2026 Olympics. That would give Brandon time for college & Alexa time to try for a baby, if she wishes.

Is it? Tell that to Massot and Zahorski, they may be surprised to learn how easy it is to switch within Europe. Because France was sooooo accommodating. It took about three years! By the way, France is in Europe. Russia also refused to release some skaters in the past, for example, Osipova was not able to skate with Bidar for Czechia and Iliuschetchkina was not able to skate for France because they didn’t release her.

France is gonna be France, but also there are SO MANY example of people within europe changing countries relatively easly within good time periods.
