Is the new stream buffering seriously badly for anybody else, or is it because we have a plumber hammering at something in the kitchen?

(We got a new sink and worktops in today. And the men that put in the worktops positioned the sink too close to the cupboard upright, so there is no room for the plumber to put in the overflow pipe. And he is trying to make room for it now).

It´s buffering really bad. I just came back from dinner. Everything was working fine before I went

I checked both on my laptop and my TV. Now it just froze.

Well, that it is not just me is a relief. The possibility that the work in the kitchen was causing interference was worrying me.

Yes it always feels good to know it´s not your internet connection.

But hey, the stream seems to be working better now. Irina skated really well, she had very interesting spins and her dress is just really beautiful :love2:

Clemence, unknown skater for me, but very interesting. Beautiful pink dress, she is rocking that dress with the skin color :love2:

She's beautiful full stop!

Looking at her Rink Results page, she hasn't done many competitions outside of France. At least not in recent years anyway. She did more events in other countries before she reached Junior level.

Hey, she was 5th in Basic Novice A at the 2016 edition of this event. And looking at the results table, I have to admit that I don't recognise any of the names! :slink:

Wow, I think that was the best skate Frida had in a long time, and she had so much fun

49 points into 7th place just sneaking behind Mia, I think this is a new PB for Frida, at least international. Well done!

Actually, to my surprise when checking now, Frida did not have the SP minimums for Euros, but the FS minimums, but now she got the SP minimums with good margin :hap10: :hap10:

That is really nice for her because with the outing Linnea had recently Frida might as well be the first sub. for Euros. I reckon now with Linneas recent results that Mia will get the spot all though Mia did not have as good start this season as last.

Edit: Also it´s a new PB for Frida, her old PB in the SP was 47 points.

Saw a couple of good jumps from Dillon during the Warm-Up. But, the camera was zoomed in too much (it wasn't zoomed in during earlier Warm-Ups), so we only got to see a small section of the ice. He could have been doing lots of things out of shot, but we just don't know.

But, we'll see now how he gets on with his programme.

☘️ ALL THE BEST DILLON!!! ☘️

Oooh, the announcer said in the introduction that Dillon was "representing the Republic Of Ireland" rather than just the normal "Ireland". Nice to hear somebody acknowledging that there are two countries on this island. But, she picked the wrong Irish skater to do it with, because Dillon is actually from Northern Ireland. He's opted to represent Southern Ireland because there are better opportunities there.

Fall on first jump.

Not a great landing on the jump he did before the jump into the sit-spin. (The latter was great!)

Didn't notice any other issues. Which, bearing in mind how things went last season, is really good!

Into 2nd position.

:cheer: WELL DONE DILLON!!! :cheer:

My goodness. The plumber is having to drill a hole in the wall now! :drama: (The pipe going from the sink to the drain outside was going up before it went down, which meant that it got blocked easily. So, he is re-positioning it to just go down).

Thank goodness he is doing it now, when the Group 2 Warm-Up is on. Otherwise I wouldn't hear the music being skated to.

CaroLiza_fan

Music problems for Azeri Bulgarian Jason.

Well, I think it's music problems. The plumber was drilling again at the time, so I don't know.

Right, Larry's ready for a second attempt. And there is no sign of music.

Oh, it finally started. As soon as he got out of position! :drama:

Now Larry's away over to the panel again. And while he's talking, the music starts again.

Finally, he gets started!

CaroLiza_fan

More music problems when Larry is in the middle of a spin. A bit of "Misirlou" started, then it went back to his own music ("Smile"). Then it stopped, and the referee started blowing the whistle. But Larry skated on. And the whistle blew again, and again, and again, a whole pile of times, but Larry still skated on. Eventually somebody started shouting at him, and he finally got the message.

Now a very long delay while they sort out where Larry has to re-start from.

Talk about a mess!

CaroLiza_fan

That's ironic. Just after Larry re-started, "Smile" ended and the music changed to a song I don't know!

He did not look impressed after he finished. In fact, he was not far off looking angry.

The Mad Hatter himself, Maurizio Zandron, is next. Well, Larry is looking a different sort of mad!

Honestly, I don't blame him. He didn't deserve to go through that.

He goes into 3rd, less than half a point behind Alp Eren OZKAN (TUR) in 2nd. But miles behind leader Burak DEMIRBOGA (TUR).

Hopefully, things will go much smoother for him tomorrow.

The final day of the Denkova-Staviski Cup follows the same order as yesterday. So, a double-bill of Juniors to start us off. And we begin with a monster length FS for the girls. 37 of them, arranged into two groups of 5; followed by a resurfacing; followed by two groups of 5; followed by a resurfacing; followed by a group of 5; followed by a group of 6; followed by a resurfacing; followed by a group of 6.

Livestream for the Junior Ladies FS is now on air.

Here is the link for the livestream:

Just finished watching the MotoGP sprint race, so I'm back to watch the skating.

Because the live scoring isn't working yet, I don't know where we are. So, I think I'll just start watching from the start. And with there being 3 resurfacings, I might actually be caught up by the time we reach the final group.

If you ever needed proof that puberty does not necessarily result in you not being able to jump any more - Alana Pang.

She was sensational!

I saw her comment in March on a video on one of her social media pages that she and jumps weren't friends. But, they definitely were today! They looked effortless!

Such a pity she didn't score higher in the SP yesterday.

The only minor issue I had with the FS is with her dress. Although the dress was beautiful, the neckline is potentially asking for trouble. There were quite a few times during the programme that I was worried that she was going to pop out...!

Alana went straight into the lead. And although she lost it a couple of skaters later, it took until skater #24 (9 skaters after she had done her FS) for her to drop out of the Top 3 in the FS.

Going into the final group, she is 10th in the FS and 12th overall.

CaroLiza_fan

And I am now fully caught up and watching LIVE.

Is it just me, or are the resurfacings this week particularly long? I was an hour behind earlier on, and I got completely caught up in only 3 resurfacings.

I normally tend to think of resurfacing breaks as being 15 minutes long. But they were each 20 minutes long this morning.

Because it meant I got caught up in time for my kid's group, I'm not complaining too much now. But, if they continue being 5 minutes longer than scheduled, we are going to be running very far behind schedule by the time the Senior Men finish up.
