I love "Smoke On The Water" by Deep Purple, but I am not sure about this re-mix being skated to by Selin AKBULUT (TUR).

That said, it made for a very dramatic programme. I enjoyed it!

Hardly surprising. It was choreographed by Sıla Saygı, who I liked when she was skating!

Selin goes into 9th position.

I really took a liking to her last season. She had a really spooky programme, which I absolutely loved! Although, once we had passed Hallowe'en, it did seem a bit out of place.

I was hoping she would provide one last challenge to the top skaters.

She goes into 7th, but is only about 5.5 points behind 3rd position!

She's kept the same SP from last season, but has changed her FS.

Both her programmes from last season fall into the spooky category! So, it's clearly something she likes.

Not sure how you would categorise her FS for this season, though...

Well, if this had been a round of the Skate Picks, and if we knew that Yakovleva had withdrawn, I think we all would have put the current Top 3 at the top of our predictions. It would just have been a case of choosing who to join them.

I'm impressed with Gladki being only 4 points behind Gurgenidze despite having a 1 point deduction.

Disappointed that Fomchenkova is so far back. I thought she would have been right up there with Gurgenidze and Gladki. As it is, she is coming under threat from quite a few skaters behind.

It should all make for an interesting Free Skate.
