2024 Tallink Hotels Cup | Feb 15-18

5 events in the baltics in one month ???? that's so nice for all the nearby skaters... Can you imagine 5 events in North America in one month ?
WOW.
Allowing myself to imagine . . .

August
Lake Placid Ice Dance International
Cranberry Cup International
Championnats Québécois D'Eté

September
John Nicks Pairs Challenge
Autumn Classic International and/or US International FS Classic
Souvenir Georges-Éthier

October
Kings Cup International

Okay, that's two months, but still. (Just me quietly lobbying for the Quebec competitions to be recognized as Senior Bs.)

Sorry for the off-topic. Back to TallinK and kitties 🐱

What you are wishing for is actually the opposite of what I would want. Having so many events in in the one region in such a short space of time is a nightmare. The point I was making is that they should have been more spread out through the season.

Don't get me wrong, I am all for having more international events in North America. But not all of them in a the space of a month or two. Have a few weeks in between each of them, so that skaters that want to take advantage of them being relatively nearby and do as many as possible can get the chance to rest after one before starting to prepare for the next one.

Good morning :coffee2:

Livestream is already on air, junior ladies is starting in about 10 minutes :hap10::hap10:

This event uses the Sportity app, who is very on spot with live results. even with elements. I can already see the planned elements for each skater in the app.

I´m very intrigued that the first skater Emelie Louise Rinne apparently is going for a 3F-2A combo in the short program? I did not think that was possible. Maybe it´s a mistake.

Hello again Estonia! It's been a long time! :p

We start with a Junior double-bill. 17 girls, followed by 9 boys. The girls are arranged into a group of 5; followed by two groups of 6.

Livestream for the Junior Ladies SP is now on air.

Here is the link for the livestream:

Here is the Time Schedule:

Hope this helps

:cheer: ALL THE BEST EVERYBODY!!! :cheer:

I love "Moonlight Sonata". But, I am not too sure about the vocals at the start of this programme from Emelie Louise RINNE (EST).

There was a mistake early on, but otherwise not a bad skate.

She is disappointed with her performance.

Emelie Louise was in Lõunakeskus last week, finishing in 11th position in both segments, and 10th position overall out of 12.

She goes into the lead (obviously). But her score is 3.04 points lower than last week.

More beautiful music from Pernille WITH (NOR).

A much better skate than the girl before her.

Into the lead by a massive margin.

Now for Daria from Scotland.

"I Will Survive"!!! (Although, not the original)

Daria needn't have worried. That was a great skate!

Not too sure about the cowboy music in the middle, and how it connected to the disco music either side of it.

Is that Amodio under that hat?! :jaw:

If it is (and I think it is!), that explains EVERYTHING!

Into the lead by 6.56 points.

:cheer: WELL DONE DARIA!!! :cheer:

Daria was really great :clap: And a very fun program as well. What is her PB? I´m thinking she might get a new one and we will have a new leader!

She's only scored in the 40's once before, and that was 42.26 at the British Qualifiers just less than a year ago.

Her highest international score is 34.36 from the 2022 Bellu Memorial, when she was in Advanced Novices.

So 47.67 is definitely a new absolute PB for the SP.

:cheer:   :party2: :points: :hb:

Well done, she got all level 4 spins so she collect important points during the skate to maximize her content :clap:

And we for sure have a new leader. Noemi and Sarina have similar jumping style. Also it seems they have the same style in dresses, but Noemi is like the darker hair version of Sarina :clap:

Since I'm keeping track, Elizabeth NOU (EST) was not in Lõunakeskus last week. But she was at the Volvo Open four weeks ago, where she was 6th in the SP, 4th in the FS, and 6th overall.

She went into 2nd.

Her score was 2.39 points lower than in Riga.

So now we have one of the Joos sisters, I think Noemi is the youngest?

Definitely very similar, and not just in skating style. I can never tell them apart, or remember which is the older and which is the younger.

Just checked, and Noemi is just over 2 years younger than Sarina.

Awww!!! There's a baby sitting in between Noemi and the coach!!! 👶

She goes into the lead by 5.10 points.
