100% agree! Too many triples. She should go for her best triples only.Tough skate for Megane Vallieres.Fell on almost all of her jumps. I wonder if she's maybe tried to add too many triples at once.

i don't agree with this... this is the time to try all the jumps... and then, later, at sectionals and challenge, she can pick and choose.
I like Sandrine Blais. She will need more difficulty, but what she did was generally fairly secure. It looks from the strapping like she has some sort of knee injury on her landing leg, so it is sensible to be cautious with jump difficulty for the moment.

I love Bruce. Gosh, what a gorgeous skater. I think all men should mandatory skate ice dance up to juniors before being allowed in single skating 
OK.. fine... I know... Bruce is still learning the big tricks but went for the 3A today... and he has done so earlier this season too so it's probably going to happen soon.
In any case, gorgeous lines and musicality.

It is better to add one element at a time and get it secure before adding the next. Would you get a violin student to add vibrato and spiccato and higher positions all at once in the same piece, or would you introduce one new technique at a time?
Sandrine Blais did enough to win with 136.48. She did better than Aleksa and Mely Ann Gagner at Cranberry Cup. But, the fact that this is the year of the 3F and that jump is a challenge for her, means I would not send her to JGP. Reese Rose and Megan Woodley are better candidates for 5th and 6th JGP spots. Plus, they both scored 140+ at Cranberry.
This was a good competition, as some athletes like Valeria, Logane have showed improvements.

Edrian has a new program to gladiator.
He started with a HUGE 3t (2t) but I think it's a place holder for the 4t.
He went with a HUGE 1a.... so yeah, 3a pop...
After that, he was a bit lost at times but what he did well, he did very well... .some more pops or hesitation. At one point, he was setting up for a jump, probably a lutz, and he didn't do it. He turned around and did a 3t...
So probably still learning his new program. The costume is gorgeous though (and so is Edrian).
Glad he is back skating for Canada. It will make Quebec sectionals more fun with him and Anthony and soon, Eddy. All Yvan boys. Hopefully they can all push each other up and they all get their 3a solid with some quads too. It's been a while since Quebec had men landing things (my adored Joseph Phan and Nic Nadeau)

The analogy has this particular issue : in music, step by step, but the opportunities for growth are daily. In figure skating, when is she going to be able to compete again ? At sectionals ? Not trying the jumps here means that she needs to try them when she needs to qualify... Now, they know that in competition, it didn't work out... they can adjust.
