Schmitz/Eberl - 3Twist wasn't clean coming down, she fell on the 3S, step out on the throw, I think the tech box broke during their program. 46.6 score, it was decent for their first competition together.
I think Amelia Orzel withdrew from the free, she wasn't listed in the starting order during the warm up but is still on the start order from the results page.
Grace Johnson was almost clean until the last 3S which she fell on. There were a lot of double jumps in there, I think the two 3S jumps were the only triples in her routine.
Her content is watered down, I don't think she had a Flip or Lutz in there? I'll have to check the protocols when they're up. 85.98 score for the free, 140.25 total so she'll be on the podium
Edit: Protocols are up, her jump layout was: 3S, 3T+2T, 2Lo, 1A (invalid pop), 2A-Eu-2S, 1S, 3T
So if she can't jump a Flip right now, then she wouldn't be able to compete on the JGP where it's a requirement for the short program.
Fall for Uliana on her 3F-eu-3S, but she can afford it. Performance came out once the jumps were done, so I'm interested in seeing how it comes off in person at Challenge. 108.31 free score, 163.16 total.
One of the Pre-Novice Men has a Pulp Fiction free skate Not one of the movies I'd expect for that age group.
Better free program for Kole Sauve than his short. He skated to Heart Upon My Sleeve, had an issue with his flying sit spin. Challenge minimum TES for the free is 35.5, Kole got 37.93, so he'll probably make it to Junior Nationals depending on the numbers.
And Kento Nakashima made the Challenge minimum TES too with his win
They randomly put the sponsor roll on during the senior men's warm-up and turned it off in time for Damien's start.
Damien kept his Rocketman free skate. Really liked his flying sit spin. Some pops in the beginning. Hand down on his 3S. Okay, why are they showing the Novice men during his replay? 106.24 free score, total 153.33.
Brian Chiem with the Arcane soundtrack, which includes Woodkid. Fall on his 3Lz. 3F landing was a bit out of control. 3Lo had a wonky axis that led to a fall. Popped into a 1Lz and 2S to end his jumping passes. Energy is back in the step sequence. His change combo spin was wobbly.
Matthew managed to get an eu-2S out of that 3A landing. 2T, 3Lz+3T and 3Lo. I recognize Oblivion, he's going tango this season. 2A, 2Lz+1A, 2A, very nice spiral. I'm not sure what's going on with those last three jumping passes, one of the 2As must be a placeholder for a 3A? The 2T I'm thinking was supposed to be a 4T since I think he was planning on introducing it this season. 124.29 for the free, 187.24 total and the winner.
Schmitz/Eberl - I think they have a lot of promise. They did a 2Tw here instead of the 3Tw they did in the short and a 2LoTh, so still some tech that will need upgrade in the free. Fall on the 3STh. Probably some more competitions will work it out, but it's a good start. 90.15 for their free, total 136.75, they looked happy with it and hugged
