2024 Championnats Québécois d'été | Aug 8-11

Solid skate from Sara-Maude. Needs more expression - she doesn't have the technical elements to really be competitive in the international field, so needs to boost her PCS to further her status.

Wow! Sara Maude went from 139 recently to 169. 30 point improvement in less than a month.
I’m glad they gave it to Breken. Sara has more under rotations and Breken needs this more to show SC she needs a Challenger event

sara maude already has SCI, so i am pretty sure they will give her a challenger before it...

so yeah, now they better give one to breken

Where has Jade Bouchard sprung from? I don't think I've ever seen her before. Needs more triples to really be competitive, but a pleasing skater to watch. :)

Nice skate from Fee Ann until the fall. That seemed to throw her off for the next (popped) jump, but she got things back together after. I'd like to see her get a challenger or at least some senior B events. She needs to build more experience.

149.98 Marie-Maude… so close to 150.

Well, the three ladies I rooted for, all swept the podium. All three of these ladies outscored Maddie at Cranberry.

Also, Uliana and Breken are both undefeated this season, winning both their domestic events. Our four domestic events so far, have been won by one of these two.

Next weekend, Uliana has the BC event with Breken at the ONT event. Surely, if they go 6/6, Skate Canada has to send these two, to a challenger event, right?

Also, Fee Ann deserves something too due to winning Challenger last season. If that last spin and missing 166 by a single point, causes her to miss out, I will be pissed

She scored above what she scored at her summer events last season by 14 points (although they were Junior, so different requirements.) This was also above her Nationals score, so I think it shows that she's on track to where they'd want her to be. I think they'll give her one later in the fall, she's getting the body of work for it :)

And now that the protocols are up, I checked out Lorie-Anne Pelchat for her jump combo.

It was called:
2A+1Eu+2S+2Lo*

So the 2Lo was made invalid.

I know that she's been winning domestic events, but I still feel that Uliana would benefit from another season on the junior international circuit. Her skating skills and performance skills still need a lot of development for her to be able to do justice to her ability and I think the slightly lower pressure environment of the junior circuit would give her more space for that. I would like her to build a really solid foundation at junior level rather than being thrown into the deep end at seniors, because I think it would better aid her longer-term success.

i don't disagree.. but what she needs is better skating skills... and she won't get them at Champs. Senior or junior... it won't matter.
