Adam Hagara

As happy as I am to see a Slovak figure skater with a GP assignment I would not be surprised if he'd give away the GP spot and returns to JGP next season. Going into senior GP without a stable quad could be a risk, especially when his presentation does not make up for it yet. It would make sense to return to JGP and earn those valuable points and experiences to possibly get two next season with a quad in tow.
I agree with you which Adam H. needs to build more momentum since the next two seasons are crucial for him as the 2025 Worlds and 2025 Nebelhorn Trophy are Olympic qualifiers.

Adam is the sole alternate for JGP Riga assignment, so it looks he might indeed go the JGP route this season. I guess we will know more after Slovak test skates in 2 weeks and/or after the whole JGP assignment list is posted by SKrZ.

Adam is entered for JGP Czech Skate, so one more JGP season seems confirmed for him.
Looks like the he wanted to maintain the momentum that he has from last season in 2023-24. There is a strong possibility that he can get a silver in the JGPF this coming season but the bronze that he has are alright. Not to mention that he has been practicing the 4T in the summer break and still growing a few cm.

Adam was sooo good in the SP! Gorgeous entry into the 3A.😻 He looks all grown up now, hope he gets lots of Challengers to compete with the seniors in the first half of the season.
Good luck in the Free!

I really enjoyed Adam's new free program, it's a really good fit for him. Too bad about the fall in the first axel and popped salchow, but 3rd place and new personal best in SP is a great result and something to build on before Ljubljana next month.

Adam won silver in his second JGP this year in Ljubljana with a new PB in short program. :coffee: Unfortunatelly despite his best efforts it looks that the JGP final ticket might slip between his fingers this year.

If results went his way, it is possible for Adam to end up as one of the three subs for the GPF. However, there is no realistic chance of him qualifying outright now - it would take a very unlikely set of results for him to do so. He is currently 5th in the standings. There are 5 skaters who would go ahead of him with a win and four of them would also automatically go ahead with a 2nd place. If Tongue Tian were to place second and/or one of the skaters who currently have 13 points placed 3rd then they would have 13+11 points like Adam and the total score across both events would become the tie breaker. Yanhao Li can place as low as 4th and still go ahead of Adam. Unfortunately for Adam, Lukas Vaclavik is ahead of him on the first tie break.

Adam finished the season with 16th place at World Championships, securing a spot for Slovakia at 2026 Winter Olympic Games. :laugh3:This was his last junior season, in the next one he will be eligible only for seniors.

For the free skate in Boston he was planning to include quad toe loup and even successfully performed it in traning, but in the morning before competition they've decided to go with his usual content as the jump is not fully secure yet. He wants the quad toe loup be as secure as his tripple axel before he will perform it in competition. He has not trained the set up with two tripple axels since Junior Worlds.

His new short program will be choreographed by Jorik Hendrickx. He is now going to take part in two exhibitions in Bratislava and Trnava, national team training camp which starts next Sunday, his high school closing exams and then shooting of a movie about Ondrej Nepela (there are currently two in production in Slovakia). During the summer he planns to work on quad toe loop and quad salchow, next season he wants to have a quad jump in his program.

Adam will debut his new short program at Nepela Memorial this weekend. He is using music from Bruno Mars. The plan is to jump 4T in both SP and FP, currently in training from six attempts he is able to perform it well 3-4 times. He had a minor ankle injury from the 4T few weeks back, but it has been healed.
