Voila was the one I meant was iffy. Canadians say it in an ordinary sentence as if it were an English word: "Just lift the top of the ottoman and voila, there's a spare blanket for the couch". (Pronounced vwallah with no strong emphasis on the a.) But I assumed it's only a basic Frenglish word in Canada.
I'm stuck on this one, although I've now learned that "poind" itself is a word meaning to distrain or impound cattle. Which is not something I need for everyday conversation, but it's always fun to learn rare words you can use in ScrabbleElfin

Now I'm seeing six letters instead of the five letters the game words use. Which letter is an extra one, Jorge? I tried cheating on a Scrabble site, but it couldn't make any words out of "p o i l n d".
