I have a question. Ted does not talk during performances when he commentates JGP, is there a reason he comments senior GP during programs? I does not bother me, our own commentator is annoying talkative and anything is better, and I am happy this is not shown at national TV. I am just wondering.

My take on this is that they require that he comments during the skating at senior GP series. I don´t think the same requirement exist at JGP. I´m sure they have instructions to follow and it happens to be more at senior GP and Championships

because seniors might attract more casual viewers that need explained what they're watching

They should want to please their current viewers.

In JGP Ted sets his own rules, since broadcasts of the JGP was his baby--and it is his preference to not talk during the skate-- but in seniors he mentioned before, he is required to comment during the skating program by the ISU.

i feel like throwing up. gosh.. that hasn't happened to me since worlds. Justice for Paul (this time with Piper)... seems like a recurring theme... a recurring RD theme....

i am pissed off so much that i think i will make pizza from scratch.

Maybe it's a broadcast request that he commentates more for the senior GP ? I prefer what he and Mark do for the JGP, but Ted is still not too obnoxious even when he talks during the program imo

I liked the commentary I heard last season, Mark Hanretty and Tonia Kwiatkowski. I thought they had good chemistry, but also knew when to be quiet and let the skating speak for itself.

This team has improved so much over the past two seasons, but even so this was a very early-season skate for them. I think they have all of the pieces to be great, they just need to clean up some of the small details like the change of positions on the lifts and the skating in-betweens, and obviously the stamina was a real issue for them here. Come Euros I expect this program to be much stronger.

Eat something, have some tea and move on. I did and my dance & pairs teams had double falls.
There are worse things to get upset about in life.
