I was not that impressed by Alisa and Misha before, but they've changed my mind. I'm probably a sucker for her extension, but it wasn't only that, they had nice speed and flow (I'm not in person though), and the combo was really nice too. I'm intrigued to see how the rest of the season goes.

Great skate from Efimova and Mitrofanov. If others make mistakes at US nationals, they will be ready to pounce.

They were already second this year, IIRC?

I have a question : for SBS jumps, why isn't it judged separately for the two skaters like the elements in ice dance (so W2T + M3T for example) ? Wouldn't that be a bit more fair ?

Maybe it's to make sure skaters attempt the same jump rotation-wise and don't settle for "I'll do just a double for safety and you do the quad"... But still, it bugs me a bit

Oh my goodness, loved that from Efimova/Mitrafanov. Aside from the doubled toe, that was gorgeous. She gives off so much Katia Gordeeva vibes.

Just tuned in, and while I think Efimova/Mitrofanov are fabulous and headed for a ridiculously exciting future, I wouldn’t agree with Ted’s Gordeeva/Grinkov comparison

It's the pastel blue dress, just like Gordeeva's. Perhaps Alisa is a big fan, either way it is a smart choice because it makes the comparison easy.

I have a question. Ted does not talk during performances when he commentates JGP, is there a reason he comments senior GP during programs? I does not bother me, our own commentator is annoying talkative and anything is better, and I am happy this is not shown at national TV. I am just wondering.

He’s been told he has to.

That was a lovely skate from E/M. So elegant and stylish. She had wonderful flow from the throws. Really different death spiral entry and exit.

Ted compared them to G/G. Surprised they are 25 & 27, I would have said younger

I've just looked at the ID results to see why everyone was so upset. I see that the teams people hate are currently 1st and 3rd and the favourites are in second. I doubt it will stay that way after the free. They will find a way of moving Chock and Bates up.
