Overall quite pleased with the baby pairs today -
Pacha/Derechowski, unfortunately, had an aborted lift that probably cost them the Jr Worlds minimums, but they skated very well otherwise. Rooting for them so hard to get those pesky minimums, they have come so close now, they just need to put it all together in one Free Skate.

The two new Czech pairs look good for very new pairs. Unfortunately, Zilkova/Becerra made a lot of errors today, but their pairs elements give me a lot of hope in their basic mechanics - They just don't seem to have the stamina and strength for a full Free Skate yet. Kviderova/Klement are the stronger singles skaters (their 2As are so solid) and skated better today, but it will be interesting to see both teams develop.

Wood/Lapsky skated about as well as they can at this point in their development. Their lifts still scare the sh*t out of me though Congrats for achieving Jr Worlds minimums

Side by ide jumps good until the last set, when Zarah fell.

Not the best landing from Zarah on the throw.

Next throw lovely.

Next couple of elements lovely too.

Better landing on the next throw.

Lift very good, but perhap is a bit slow.

Next series of elements good.

Music change and they are really getting into it now with the choreographt.

Another very good lift.

Side by side jumps good, and in cync.

Love the ending!

Alex puts his arms up and shouts "YES!" when they finish.

I know I haven't seen the previous partnerships, but I'm pretty sure they've done it!

Zarah lifts a massive teddy bear for Zarah. Alex lifts two small matching bears, and gives one to Zarah when they get to the seats

All three of them are delighted.

Awwww. Zarah is crying with joy.

Massive group hug.

They win.

I'm getting all emotional now. I'm welling up too!

Zarah is crying with joy.

She's crying because they achieved Jr Worlds minimums - You can hear her asking their coach if they had done it after he showed her the live scoring in the Sportity App and she started to really cry after the judging finished up a little while later.

Thank you. I was concentrating on watching and writing, and couldn't make out what was being said.

But, that is just what I wanted to hear!!!

Mmmm. So there was working livescoring on Sportity, but there wasn't on the Entries / Results page. That's not right.

I was getting so frustrated this week because I was watching other things, and was finding it hard to keep track of where we were in the Tirnavia Trophy because the Results pages were just showing the start order rather than the livescoring, and there were no on-screen graphics on the stream to go by either.
