2024 Tallinn Trophy Junior Women FS

Iida posted on instagram that she woke up with high fever today and had to withdraw

Iida is not injured. She has had fever this morning. Source her ig.

I have no idea how we have managed to get back on schedule after the extra resurfacing and Warm-Up earlier. But, somehow, we have.

Right, we have now reached the stage where I have a vested interest in what is happening.

Stefania third out of the gate.

Very fast spin in the middle of the ice. Watch you don't drill a hole in it! :p

She's taken her jacket off now. That is a really beautiful blue dress.

Beautiful combination jump just opposite the camera.

And beautiful individual jump near to the camera.

Did another in the same place, and fell. (It would be ironic if she had fallen on her own ruts).

But did another bautiful jump at the third go on the same spot.

Went past the camera a couple of times lining up jumps, but they were out of shot.

Beautiful Bielmann Spin right at the end of the Warm-Up.

She's looking good! Hope that continues for the actual programme.

Awwww. Nice to see tears of joy for Jana HORČIČKOVÁ (CZE).

Makes a change to the other type of tears, which we have been seeing plenty of this week.

She goes into the lead of both FS and overall.

This sounds like "Mamma Mia". It is, but it's not ABBA. 😞

Beautiful jump to start with.

Combination jump beautiful too.

She's come alive with the music!

Another beautiful combination.

And another!

Beautiful spin.

I always get nervous when somebody skates to "The Winner Takes It All". But, in this case, she is doing so well that I'm not!

Not sure about landing on the next jump.

But the landing on the next jump definitely wasn't good.

Random advert appeared just after "Gimme Gimme Gimme" started.

Wild landing on the next jump. But at least it was landed.

Combination spin at end beautiful.

You know, that was brilliant!!! :cheer:   :party2: :points: :hb:

She is absolutely delighted. And so she should be!

She goes into 2nd in both the FS and overall.

Well, we know that the leader from the SP has withdrawn. So, even with going into 2nd, Stefania can't actually be lower than she was in the SP. And depending on how others do, she might still climb.

:cheer: WELL DONE STEFANIA!!! :cheer:

Good skate from Josephine! The rotations looked better here. I noticed in person Josephine could really work a bit on SS because she isn't fast across the ice, especially for a tall skater, but she should be proud of her performance here. Good job!

This has been her highest scoring free skate this season since Lake Placid, and is closer to what she scored at Nationals. She was pretty close to the minimums thanks to Nice, so she did enough here to get them.
Good for her. I rewound the feed and was hoping for more but as long as she got her CTES, mission accomplished

What a great programme from Aleksa VOLKOVA (CAN).

I loved it!!! :cheer:   :party2: :points: :hb:

Such a contrast between the two songs. But, it worked!

Yes, there were a few issues. But, she seems happy.

Be careful Aleksa. You're nearly giving us an eyeful. (Be grateful that the graphic with your name is on the screen).

She goes into 3rd in both the FS and overall.

Another withdrawal. Mia KALIN (USA)

But, because it is a late withdrawal, Alexandra ODMAN (SWE) has to wait around.

According to the sportity app IIda has wd. Very sad about that as the last group contained skaters from six nations. And two of them were nordic skaters for a change

Mia KALIN (USA) also withdrew from the final group. And as a result, it meant we returned to having the final 6 skaters being different nationalities. Albeit now spread over two groups rather than one.
