2024 CS PGE Warsaw Cup Pairs Short Program

that is very possible. It's quite common to have names like this in French.. just like Diana Lapierre (the stone) Labelle, Lapointe, Lacoursière, Lachance, Lacasse (like my Étienne) etc etc... there are so many... I never questioned it with the La before because it would refer mostly to a noun and not an adjective.. with the LA, Belle triggered adjective instead of noun...

Told you i am not my usual self this morning... I am Le SLOW
some of these french name might have gotten rid of a De (noble or noble sounding surname). De la Pointe, might mean that the ancestors came from a place called la pointe (the ridge? place of origin is very common in surnames) and who knows, the famous La Chance was a gambler

yup ;)

So there is still a lot of pairs left? I really should do other things but after an intensive day at work I think I must relax for a while. It is very windy and snowing a lot here. We were lucky to have nice weather last weekend.

Did I miss anything special?

Barbora & Martin are also nicely matched. They are being careful with their elements which are a bit easier than others. They program is pleasant and I am always impressed by Martin what a strong and stable partner. Barbora holds her own with him. A bit too much red on the scoreboard.

Check out the stunning debut of the SUI pair who overtook the NED team.

I don't know why, but it isn't displaying for me this time. I had to go to giphy and paste in the pic ID to find out what you were showing me.

Did you hear about the Latvian coach that was at the Tallinn Trophy that had the exact same expression as the Georgian Fed lady?

The difference was, this was a young girl that looked like she was in her twenties.

I have no idea...

i hope i can use other gifs

seems like my computer's upgrade is blocking my gifs... oh well

Camera changed just as Barbora was landing the Triple Twist, so we didn't actually see what the landing was like.

Side By Side jumps good.

And the Throw Triple Flip good too.

Out of sync on the Combination Spin.

Oh, I give up. Everything I think is good is coming up red!

Saw the opening Triple Twist again in the replays. It wasn't a great landing.

They go into 4th position.

None of the three of them look happy. Particularly Martin. (He's probably thinking back to the time he was a World Champion).

But, it wasn't a total disaster. So...

:cheer: WELL DONE BARBORA AND MARTIN!!! :cheer:

I have loved and missed Brooke skating pairs. I am sorry she could not find a Canadian partner, but am glad to see her get to compete in this new and exciting partnership.

Brooke and Marco are looking 'newer' than Fiona and Ben did in the Canadian competitions. Are they actually newer?

Does you screen blink or is it maybe just the local the signal because of the snow storm and wind here? There a short and quick black moments but less than a second at time.

I know they are fresh and both were injured... but still, i don't know... with Mimar, they had such good lines...

I think Bombardier-Mimar > McIntosh-Zandron.
