yes, i lost all connections and had to reboot everything. Something somewhere got hacked. My security system flagged something.Did anyone else have a rather scary outage? and it looks as if the posts through Kazuki's skate have vanished

I had Yuma, Shun, Rio for my picks. But I changed Rio to Kao right at the last minute. So we had 2 clean skates, Rio and Nobu. 
Oh well, it's not over til it's over. Hope I can watch the free,. With the 15 hour time difference, it gets tricky.

Woke up at 4.30 am to watch men menning. No regrets, bo I hope for some clean free skates and happy faces.
Nobu, 37 y.o. dad of four - the skate of the day! I cried with him. It could be great if they send him to 4CC for international closure of his amazing career.
Rio - what a skate!
Kao - even with the mistake, my favourite SP (from the top guys). So much speed, energy and commitment.
Kazuki - this program is brilliant such as he is.
Yuma - I love his sublime skating but today wasn't his best, not only because of the fall but overall he seemed to be a bit off. I think he has some confidence issues since Finlandia. And he didn't have much time to solve it at all. Hope he gets it together tomorrow and have some good training time for the second part of the season.
Kosho - what a star! Love him

They were all needles and pins. The nerves on realising the title was really up for grabs for the first time in ages got to them, I think.
Except Nobu who simply had a ball and invited the audience to join him.

Unsure which disarmed me more: his attitude, his skating, his reaction or his (and his coach) tears.
So, so glad he was able to create that Nationals moment. If you love something, age can truly be just a number
Shoutout to Taiga and Sena in top 10 (whooooooop) and Rio Nakata absolutely dazzling with 90+ score and 2nd place!

Would have placed top 3 : Kazuki-Rio-Nobu performance-wise! 
Hats off to Papa Nobu for hitting another beautiful 4T-3T in SP!!!
Other highlights for me is Little Sena, Kosho the STAR, and Taiga.
Feel bad for Kao and Sota jump-wise, but both really sold the programs I thought.
Kudos to Sota especially for his choice of the music. Hope he will keep this SP next season, Want to see him skate it clean!
Anyway, it aint over till its over like Arriba says. Good luck again in the free, all boys!

My fav jump is not a quad, it's actually the 3A. The execution is completely different since you have to leap forward off one skate and land on the other skate going backwards. Aside from the difficulty, I just happen to think it's a beautiful jump to watch - the height and distance some of the men can get are exceptional. I also look for arm position since it can make the rotation in air look different from skater to skater. If the body's axis is off in the air, look out. Splat.

There's really something poetic about Nobu and Rio having the best skates from the top skaters - group. Circle of life and all. Should maybe have gone 1-2 
Yuma, Kao, Shun.... even Sota tbh.... the title of the Japanese National Champion does carry an unique weight, different from any other medal- Worlds, GPF and even Olympics. That ice is different, that audience is different. This is their trial by fire: come out of this in one piece and they may find themselves a champion.
Kazuki in another great position after the SP, hopefully third time's the charm and he will have his great FS here.
Love Takumi Sugiyama's skating- a bit slow in speed but just gorgeous everything. I'm sure Daisuke Takahashi has scouted him for Kassouya, if not, then he definitely should book him now.
Kosho is a delight as always, so is his father.

Not only am I able to post links to all performances quicker but I thought this might offer someone who hasn't already watched the event a more authentic viewing experience
Haven't had a chance to check videos thoroughly for quality issues so please let me know if there are any problems I need to fix

couldn’t access GS before going to bed so belated thoughts:
Kazuki!! Ugh it was so close to perfection (and tbh I thought he should’ve been first anyway
) but well done! Really hope he can keep momentum going into the free.
Sota also succumbing to nerves unfortunately, but it’s a good program for him and he performs it well.
