Now that was an excellent competition. Thank goodness for that. There were no real meltdowns. The competition was stiff so even minor mistakes proved to be costly. The Worlds team is simple. It’s going to be Sakamoto, Higuchi, Chiba.

Yes. Super simple. The three best skaters this season, as well as placing in the top three here. Wakaba is one super feisty competitor.

Predictions:
Sr. worlds: Kaori, Mone, Wakaba
4CC: Mone (defending champion), Wakaba, Rino
Jr. worlds: Mao, Kaoruko, Ikura

Not me. She could have gotten two spots at GP next season. I wanted her to continue her career, until she lost her GP spots.

I almost, almost put Rino in 5th - but then I thought I don't want to be disappointed again so I put Kaoruko instead (lol).
My logic was, if Rino isn't going to be anywhere near top 5 at least my prediction is correct, if Rino is in top 5 then I'd be very happy for her

Yes she has mins for both 4cc and worlds

She has the minimums, but I’m pretty sure 4CC team will be Chiba, Higuchi, and Matsuike. Chiba’s right on the cusp of being in the final flight at worlds, but she could be sent to a senior B instead, which will open a spot up for Yamashita.

Mone is definitely safe for Worlds, she satisfies most of the selection criteria already and she got silver in GPF defeating Kaori

Well, when Kaori gets her over inflated PCS score (worth more than a quad), I’m sure that will place her in first place.
But, honestly, she deserves 2nd. No triple triple combo. And the judges didn’t even review her 3Lz

I will never understand how everyone gets bunched together in PCS and scores between 62 - 67 and then there is Kaori getting at least 7-8 points more than that. And she wasnt even clean so you just know the judges would have gone 77+ PCS for her if she had let them.
I like Kaori and her SS are divine but she is not astronomically a better performer or has that much better composition than the others.
I agree more with the PCS scores at GPF...
