Regardless of seeing some snark towards "old" teams that should've retired according to some circles in some sns places, I think those 3 teams develop their own, specific way to combine skill and presence that leaves a mark out there, regardless if it's up to our liking or not. They had years to work on signature and develop, which gives fruit now. They do make very very hard things look easy. I've come to appreciate C/B , G/ P, and G/ F more and more this season. They are just a lot better than almost all younger teams at partnering and skating in hold and, honestly, they have more interesting transitions and details. Their years and years of perfecting their craft show...

So now whenever I think of Michela Mellilo and Karl Schapfel, I'll be thinking "That's TontoK's mechanic."We're on the same wave-length. He needs to take a note from my mechanic in the third pair. Less technically skilled, I suppose, but he's real.
If you're dancing to Brick House, you better give a cool casual-but-intense vibe, and grind up on your woman for goodness sake. That music ain't Broadway.

I hate the snark.Regardless of seeing some snark towards "old" teams that should've retired according to some circles in some sns places, I think those 3 teams develop their own, specific way to combine skill and presence that leaves a mark out there, regardless if it's up to our liking or not. They looked slower here than in practice - if you have time check it out. It will make you happy! As for between Madi and Evan and Oona and Gage (my two favs, independent of this comp)
I never understood the Emilea and Vadym hype in previous years, but that program impressed me. Speed speed speed and just the right attitude for the music. Liked them the best of the "in between"/
Loved Jean-Luc's commentary about them during the practice. Fun to watch. They looked slower here than in practice - if you have time check it out. It will make you happy!
I feel ashamed of my "ID keyboard warrior" daysI hate the snark.
These days I just enjoy so many wonderful teams and am sad that not everyone can go to worlds.
I just hope that in time that each one will get their chance.
, but...I grew up and learned to acknowledge and appreciate, leaving my subjective tastes and favoritism out of it. It still comes hard for me because I have favourites and I want only best things for them, but the competition is to enjoy different things.I learned so much and want to rewatch it and try to absorb some of the parts I need to slow down and process.Loved Jean-Luc's commentary about them during the practice. Fun to watch.
Agree on both!I'm already feeling bad for whoever will end up in 4th. Happy the Browns are in the final group for the free.

Yes, I put them in 5th in my predictions but that was more wishful thinking than anything. I have my favorites, but they just killed it and actually ended up in 5th. Sadly, I don't think their FD is as strong. ( Hope they prove me wrong)I'm already feeling bad for whoever will end up in 4th. Happy the Browns are in the final group for the free.
Doesn't it make you smile? It's payday and it's quitting time! Drop the tire iron and hit the shower. Clean shirt? Check! Now go pick up your girl and dance the night away at the VFW.So now whenever I think of Michela Mellilo and Karl Schapfel, I'll be thinking "That's TontoK's mechanic."![]()
On the Youtube steam of Press Conference Madi and Evan weren't there, they said "food related stomach issues". So food poisoning? This afternoon in practice Madi nearly fell on the ending and I knew something was wrong.
They did a lot or circling around and not skating. Amazing to see them get the job done - the show must go on indeed!
