Disappointed Jeffrey didn’t end with the classic waltz jump, I was expecting it

I kind of feel they won’t be skating together next season. I hope I’m wrong

They both have a history of serial partner ditching, so... Would hardly be surprising.

For me, this was a very tight skate from Annabelle and Jeffrey - the opening two lifts were very shaky, and I felt like they really lost a lot of speed and ice coverage during their one-foot and on their rotational lift. However, Jeffrey avoided having a major disaster, which is a win for him (he was a notorious splatter in juniors)

It is hard to completely redo your program this close to Nationals and get it up to speed.

Yeah, it’s unrealistic to expect immediate ascension and success in the standings among US dance when there is so much depth here. It’s about the journey, more so than the destination. Look how long the top 3 in the world have been together; none of their success came overnight.

Neither had an obvious, glaring error. Leah missed her blade catch on a twizzle and the pattern of twizzles for Emily and Ian were not the best perhaps due to slightly cautious skating. The top 5 were all flawless, so flawless in fact that many believe C/P should have been below Z/K and G/P.

It's been so close...no room for slight errors even.

No major errors from Leah and Artem, and they had some real crowd-pleasing moments throughout this program, but they dropped quite a few levels on their one-foot turn, diagonal step, stationary lift, and twizzles. They will take the lead based on their RD lead and GOE earned, but it won't quite be the splashy statement that they would have hoped to make - this score could be significantly higher if they improved their levels.
