My enjoyment of this team is going to predicated entirely on music and program choices. This FD was beautiful, but I thought they looked ridiculous in the RD to Brick House.

That gave serious fish-out-of-water vibes, like when Kolyada did a Chaplin program.

I also thought Emily looked a lot more comfortable in this program than she ever does in the RD.

Emily and Ian appear deflated and are not bringing the same emotional intensity to this program like they skated it last season, but I can’t say that I blame them based on what happened in the RD.

I disagree, I thought they were lost in the program

The Browns have not been received well internationally all season long in the FD, so here’s hoping they can manage to get through that program cleanly. It will be a major test for them!

Scintillating lifts, and lots of other good stuff.

I think Neset & Markelov have a bright future—both excellent skaters, and very well matched—but if they get derailed, by the marriage scandal or anything else, as they move into the top ranks, then my other choice for the Team of the Future, would be these two.

This team has improved so much since the JGP. There's definitely some little areas that could be tightened up, but this program has really grown and you can see them starting to gel together. I think moving forwards, they'll need to find a standout program to help them establish their identity in the crowded US ice dance field - this is a good program for juniors but not necessarily for seniors, as @labgoat said it is a bit of a "crutch" piece that does a lot of the storytelling and drama for them - but they will be a real threat heading into Junior Worlds.
