Not the skate me and obviously Vladimir wanted but top 10 at Europeans is nothing too shabby, he fought bravely and there were some very strong elements but not enough. And to be absolutely honest I really didn't expect him to have a much better FS today, he's yet to clear 150 in this segment at ISU event.

Chris seems surprised that the audience is so supportive whether the skaters skate well or badly here. Well, I would certainly hope anyone watching this competition would have a heart and soul and give the skaters here a break for a bad performance. I would think all the skaters this week have been skating with an extremely heavy heart given the tragedies that have struck the skating world this week. By comparison, a skating championship feels like an afterthought. I have been extremely depressed and I’m not an elite skater; I can’t begin to imagine how these competitors are getting through this event.
