Honestly, this was not a great event.

I do agree about unexpected and deserving winners. Congrats to them!

Britschgi, Memola, Petrokina all with career performances (hit it out of the park) to claim their medals. And drama in the last groups. Ice dance was underwhelming, pairs just lacks depth but we knew that before the event.

I am shocked that I scored higher in men than women because in women I actually had the right names in a very wrong order (save for Gutmann). But in men, I literally only had 3/5 from the top 5, but, I suppose they ended up closer to the final positions.

In other news, somehow Poland keeps two spots for the next year.

Yeah how that happened I don't know. Samoilov had better PCS than Nordebäck and because of that he pushed the swede down to 11th place.
Nordebäck had a clean skate. Samoilov had a fall.

And Siao Him Fa had almost the best PCS, even though he had a fall and was all over the place with the jump passes.

As usual, the last group of skaters get PCS bonuses. The judges still treats PCS as a placement decider.

Back in the day, we used to laughingly call it a "smoke break" when a skater stopped skating and just waved his arms around. Catching a little rest before resuming the actual skating portion of the program.

But Adam definitely takes it to a new level.
