Echoes of Life tour 2024-25

"I was able to close the tour with a performance that I thought could not have been any better " - Yuzuru said at a post show conference, video of which TV Asahi just posted on their YouTube channel. This is expressing the utmost level of satisfaction at this show which was really perfect! Yuzu has also said that he was happy this show was thoroughly recorded and the video will be available for people to remember it - this is great news indeed! Also lots of more detailed reflections on Nova and his story! In Japanese, of course, but machine translation is doing a pretty decent job on it.

And here comes the translation of the above

A news report on the Echoes Chiba Day 2 live viewing in Shanghai's 360 degree cinema was shown on Chinese TV :)
That's great! And yet it is incredible when you think about it. How many streams of how many shows (just streams, not the shows themselves) make it to the TV news? :scratch2::laugh3:

This news story on Echoes narrated in English was posted by an official Chinese news account tagging all the Chinese consulates in Japan, just to be later reposted by fans with Chinese subtitles :love2:

So, Echoes of Life was back on this screen, after Hiroshima?

I vaguely remember that the Japanese embassy in Spain had also communicated on Yuzuru Hanyu a few years ago?

And the last week of viewing Echoes on BeyondLive archive has just begun!
Starting today, till next Sunday, the last show, widely considered also the very best, is available there! Make some time this week for this and enjoy!!!!

On the 7th anniversary of Ballade No 1 which have secured the second Olympic gold for Yuzu, the SMNs are full of inevitable comparisons between the iconic Olympic performance and the one from Echoes of Life where he skated his Olympics-winning Short Program 7 years later, at 30 years of age, in dim show lights, as 9th or 10th program he did that night, after having skated for 30 minutes since the beginning of the show and directly after some 10-minutes-long classic medley. Here's a random play by play by play posted today, with a short comment by Yuzuru from a post-show interview.

I have not the faintest how this Special Collaboration space works yet, I am sure fans will explain and how to apply - but it looks damn swish...

ps - See, here are some instructions already!

I joined this last year for his birthday. And Yuzu joined too! Lol.
Was it easy? I remember I thought about it but was not sure I had sufficient technical competences and skills and doubted myself in the end, lol (no earlier games experience whatsoever). Many people loved it, I know, and I read very happy reports.
What would you advice to a complete novice like me? Easy? Worth it?

So it seems that last year for Yuzu's birthday they started off with the capacity to have 500 people simultaneously in the Metaverse, finally expanded to 8000 and it was too difficult to get in anyway. So this year they are starting off with 10 000 and still many people are worried it will not be enough :)
I am more and more intrigued with this event :scratch2:

That is an amazing number. Again, shows how loved he is.

Another great review of Echoes of Life, published by Mitsuru Tanaka, a renown Japanese sport journalist and author, published on Wedge Online. 3 pages, quite a few photos. Enjoy!

I have seen these interviews from Media Day after Echoes of Life in Chiba Day 2:

In The Answer, there are many questions and answers of course, I noticed a confirmation that each show stop had a different rink size; which meant labour-intensive adjustments of all scenography of course, but also minute ajustments of every program by Yuzuru Hanyu himself!
