Hi does anyone else’s skates get caught in their laces when you do scratch spins? I mean, scratch spins are on a more beginner side, but my laces are so long. Does anyone have tips on how to stop that? I’ve tried pulling my socks down over them but it’s too bulky and it still catches.

Don't use laces that are too long, you are going to get injured.

Cut the laces and or do a double bow NOT a double knot. Take the long "bunny ears" and treat them as if you were tying them into another bow so you'll have about two sets of "bunny ears".
but also with a lot of beginner skaters aren't tying there skated appropriately.
- look up some how to's on youtube- different skates require different ties,( I always struggled with my laces loosening and then i found out to tie my skates ( jackson supremes ) the correct ways)
But yes Cut the laces to an appropriate length for you and then if anything use some white duck tape to keep your laces down :)

OP: At this point, I would recommend that you simply buy new shorter laces. If you are otherwise happy with the way you are tying your laces, measure the excess length when tied (taking into account excess length at both ends). Then remove the lace from the boot and measure the current total length. Estimated new length = current total length - excess length.

If you cut your laces, you will probably have trouble threading them through the holes...
