Who was I trying to kid? It's Kornel. Of course he wasn't going to go clean!

But, fortunately for the Polish fans, and for his chances, it was just one fall. Apart from one time when he had a hand down, he was very good otherwise.

You know, I don't want to get the hopes of the spectators up, but I think he might just do this.

He does!!!

He wins both the FS and overall.

The 2025 Maria Olszewska Memorial finishes with the Senior Ladies.

Both the Junior and Senior Men's categories have had Polish champions. Being realistic, we're not going to have a Polish champion in either the Junior or Senior Ladies categories. But can Katia do the next best thing and improve on her current 3rd position and claim the Silver Medal for the Polish fans?

There are 4 Polish skaters in this opening group, and the first to go was Nicola ADAMCZYK (POL).

I really liked her SP. If I am totally honest, I'm not as keen on her FS. But, that's more on the singer than on the skater.

But Nicola has impressed me this weekend.

As I said yesteday, I look forward to seeing more of her.

Oh dear. Whether you look at the TES box or her body language after she finished, you don't need to be a genius to work out how things went for Agnieszka REJMENT (POL).

As I said about her SP yesterday, when it is done clean, everything about this programme will be beautiful.

Unfortunately, like the SP yesterday, it wasn't clean.

You know, I actually thought this was going to be an instrumental version of "Voilà" that Magdalena ZAWADZKA (POL) was skating to. But Barbara Pravi did eventually start singing.

She had a couple of falls.

I'm starting to wonder, is the pressure of skating in front of the Polish fans, who have high expectations of their skaters, getting to the Polish girls?

You know, I could be onto something here. Because the first of the international skaters, Anna BERGSTROM (FIN), didn't have any major issues.

She was really good.

The irony is that the skater that did the best in the opening group is the one that wants to leave Singles skating and go to Pairs.

Ah, well. If she was thinking of stopping anyway, she may as well give it a try. She might find that she likes it, and decide to extend her competitive career, but in a different direction.

Yesterday wasn't a fluke. Catherine-Charlotte LAPIERRE (POL) has definitely improves so much since the previous times I saw her.

And today, we found out how she improved so much so quickly. The Force is with her!

She's delighted! She slapped the ice as soon as she finished the programme!

Massive hug when Mum arrived in the resutls area.

I don't know who is happier out of Catherine-Charlotte or Diana!!! They are both delighted!!!

She goes into 2nd in both the FS and overall.

Sorry to correct you, but it was actually 4 Nationals.

But, it's a good job it wasn't the Warsaw Cup. Imagine what it would have been like for Diana if she had had to commentate on her own daughter having a disaster skate.
