I honestly don't think you need to worry about Lilah and Lewis. The judges haven't really been going with their programmes this season and they peaked too early. They were already losing form by Euros. I would be more concerned about the French team, and about a second American team displacing LaLa from the top 5. Piper and Paul will medal if they skate clean.This is the take panel for ID
I guess we have an absolute nightmare of a tech panel for the Canadian teams... All their contenders are represented.

Worried that lala will not pass them.
You don't need LaLa to pass Lilah and Lewis this year (I expect they will next season if they don't here). If Piper and Paul finish on the bottom step of the podium (which is one place lower than I am expecting), LaLa need to place 8th. I would be amazed if they aren't higher than that.Worried that lala will not pass them.

Wow, the draw was already terrible, but this is the kiss of death. It literally couldn't be less advantageous for the Canadians. How did reps from 3 of the top 4 countries get to make up the tech panel? Sometimes I hate this sport....It's already been home bonus all over the place for the U.S. as it is.This is the take panel for ID

The judges have certainly been kind to Kam and O’Shea this week…
To no one’s surprise.
Yes, but strangely they weren't to Efimova and Mitrofanov, who were underscored slightly in the short. That is what I don't understand.
I thought both the SP and FP worked better last year than this year. I hope they have held back some good ideas for next year!

both programs were better last year... but from seeing them all four programs in person, the weakest one was this year's SP. I quite like the LP this year... there are a lot of highlights linked to the music (waves etc) that are not really seen on stream that I finally saw at nationals...
i haven't watched yet... i am not sure i feel like watching after seeing the results... sigh... that's the one spot I didn't want Canada to lose...
So Canada gets 2 spots in pairs?
Disappointing Lia and Trent. I find Trent falters a bit in high pressure with jumps. It’s a pattern. So strange Lia missing the throws. The first season she didn’t miss. Kelly Ann and Lucas miss out. That’s tough

Well curve ball for you.
Who knows if Lia doesn't fix the throws... If Trennt who is an excellent jumper, doesn't fix that part too... Kelly Ann and Loucas, but even more so Ben and Fiona may get 2nd.
Trennt missed out in 2022 when James and Radford returned... I wish he will not this time around but sometimes, Olympics are just not meant for you...
(I sincerely hope that Trennt and Lia will go....but I wouldn't be surprised if they are passed by one of the other couples )
I think Trent and Lia will go this time unless they fall apart next year which I doubt. They have to find consistency

Lia didn't miss out though last time.. It was Trennt and Evelyn but I agree.. I think Canadian pairs (other than DSD) worked really hard for Nationals. They knew what was at stake here... and probably peaked a bit too early this season.
