2025-26 Grand Prix Assignments predictions?

I think the Canadian skaters announced will be there. But Ilia...it would be weird to do marketing with him and then he isn't there.

I was hoping Maddie was not going to be selected as he can get two assignments on her own.

I only know for sure that Deanna and Max will be there. The rest is likely but not certain. But as with Ilia, why using them for marketing if they're not going to be there...

With the Skate Canada marketing, I think they had Wesley Chiu on it last year before the assignments were announced and he was given two non-host assignments.

On the roaster : Piper and Paul, Madeline, Deanna and Max... and Ilia...

Does that mean that those skaters will be coming to Canada for sure ? no idea.. but as a fan, I'd be pretty pissed off if I were to buy tickets, arrange travel and accommodation and then.. oups.. the world champion is no longer skating there

Nope, but I'm going anyway, because the world gives me no other options. Samodelkina missed the top 24, and I have seen everyone else, so they all are fine.

Yuzuru was used for marketing purposes long after he retired, lol! By Skate Canada, I think, if I recall correctly.
He still is used for promotion of Olympics by Milano Cortina, though I do not think anyone realistically expects him to compete there
So I wouldn't build too much expectations just based on marketing materials.

unfortunately, that fall on combo probably took her out of consideration, she's like 28th or something in terms of scores, 19th in season rankings, some 50th in 3 year standings, but hopefully!

Oh, another thing I hope for is Cizeron's new partnership to start in SkCan. I've never seen G/C live.

I think they're with IAM. Given the press release from FFSG about their formation, my guess is that FFSG will want them at GPdF as who they think will be the top French team.

Q1 Will Alisa /Misha and Ellie/Danny both get SA? Would it be wise to place 2 top American teams against each other. Both have claims to be there and Ellie/Danny are not seeded so nothing prevents them to.
Q2 Assuming Alisa/Misha are in SA as the current American champions, what second assignment they are likely to get? They can't go to Skate Canada as Deanna/Max 100% will be there.

I would hope that Alisa/Misha get Finland since that is where Alisa's family lives.

I think Kevin will get Skate America and Finland...3rd year in a row.

And I hope Sofia S. gets one. So I predict Cup of China.

I am just hoping Daria and Michel will get one, preferably two, but that depends (the two certainly is not a given). And...Kevin has good experiences at SA, I think with @Jeanie19 he will get that one again, and get another good experience.

I'm sure there is a scenario where they both could end up at Skate America. However, with both teams being guaranteed two assignments, and pairs spots being so limited compared to everything else, I can easily see USFS only having one of them there, and using those other two spots for other US teams.
