he's taught me to respond with food when he repeatedly smacks his Chirpy Bird toy

[Like someone in an empty store hitting the bell on the counter to get service. The squawk-squawk-squawk is so irritating I'd come running to distract him with a treat, and he's learned to take advantage of that. People who say why don't I just take that so-and-so little blue bird away from him are not born cat slaves like me .]

Yes, pairs girls think it's nice
that their partners train to sacrifice themselves in a fall!

[I toyed with the idea of getting more into ice dance as well, but in a lesson with a Canadian champion recently turned coach, we caught blades and he let go of me so that I fell backwards -- the only time I've ever hit my head on the ice -- and then he tripped over my supine body and fell on top of me. And then he blamed me for the fall. When my pairs partner heard about this he was livid and threatened to get Mr Canadian Champion in a dark corner of the parking lot some night ]
