Someone needs to alert Barbara Fusar-Poli that a skater has discovered an opera version of "I Will Survive" that makes Babs' Olympic version sound classy and elegant.

That was technically impressive and I won't remember anything but the music in 12 minutes.

The choreo was very nervous at the start but I think she has a lot in her if she gets comfortable!

Viktoriia SAFONOVA AIN dressed in royal blue skates to Yo Viviré by J2 (feat. Ilza). She is racking up the technical points with those amazing jumps but the heaviness of this version of her music is not sparking joy for me artistically - especially the screaming at the end.

Viktoriia starts well with all greens on her jumping passes, and in fact gets positive GOE for everything. Spread eagle into 2A early on. 3Lz‑2A‑and I forget what the toe was in the second half; big combination/sequence for tiring legs. Besti squat and fan spiral in her choreo sequence, though she isn't giving quite the drama in her performance that the music wants. She is very flexible, her spins show it off well.

You can't have it all. She skates on straight legs a program to a... doesn't matter, she is slow and not exactly expressive, not a very interesting skater, so she got hammered in the short expectedly. Her chance was in the free. She had to get all the elements, so she did.
