2025 Denis Ten Memorial Challenge Men's Short Program

i'm know this comment won't make me popular :ROFLMAO: but i think i liked Younghyun's Riverdance more. Jason isn't ready for the season yet
Younghyun was very good, cleaner today. Maybe even more lively on the footwork. Jason gains huge points on his transitions and spins and footwor, but had some nerves today.

Second Riverdance of today.

Second in three programmes!

I hope his costume isn't ready yet and this is his training costume. Because it would be a major disappointment if he was planning to wear a blck tracksuit for this version of his iconic "Riverdance" programme.

What can you say about the skating?! Jason always entertains!

He goes into 2nd position.

Nika Egadze lives up to his last name- always going for the big jumps 4S, followed by 4T-3T. Different music. Second to last spin under review. Healthy applause for him as well. He inches ahead of Jason.

back to Pland now, see you there

Took me a while to work out what "Pland" was... :slink:

Nah, I'm going back to France to watch the Junior Frees. I watched the Shorts yesterday, so I am curious to see how they finished up today.

Whew, can almost never watch at 12 noon my time, but for Jason....

Fangirling for Riverdance🍀🍀🍀 The step sequence reimagined, the transitions, the opening and closing poses. I don't care if he lands every jump with hands down. What skater can bring back a program from 12 years ago with such panache?

Jason, that's who.

it's okay. you are way too popular as it is :)
While I enjoyed Y Cha's Riverdance more than I expected to, Jason's version, even with the wonky combo, was much better and will get much better. For this early in the season, this looks more like Jason than last year at this time when he was struggling with his boots. Hopefully, he'll be stronger still in Tibilisi. Overall, his skating was very strong. Nika had a good short. He often does. And Misha is showing how strong he is early in the season, which bodes well for him. But mid 80s for Jason at his first outing and in early October and after 30 hours of traveling to get there, was what I expected and hoped for, and I think he looked GREAT!!!!
