A lovely skate by Milana. Nice 3Lz with footwork transition to exit it (bracket? As a non-skater, I struggle to tell the turns apart). She starts the sit spin in the fly ch combo spin very fast. Ominous hand movements during her Besti squat, Ina Bauer with reaching hands directly after, to convey the changed mood of the music, and then a pretty Ina Bauer into the final spin.

Shiqui was quite good a couple seasons back.

Edit. Even last season looking at past scores. Her scores at domestic comps are quite good, maybe gets a little nervous internationally.

A hard skate for Shiqi, with the repeated falls, but she keeps on trying. She jumps most of her jumps with rippon arms in this skate. She has to have one of the most flexible fan spiral/leg kicks I have seen, and her I-spin is astonishing. I like the way she uses her arms to express the music throughout, from the bold movements in the opening, to the dramatic hands down in her Ina Bauer in the choreo sequence. Despite the jumping problems, she remained committed to performing to the very end.

Another tough day for Shiqi. I wonder if she's injured or just exhausted, cause in the summer during chinese league she looked amazing, her jumps were much higher and sharper, now she looks like she lost half of her power. But she's been competing a lot since June/July so maybe she just needs to rest to renew her strength.

Shiqi The Chinese skaters have to peak so early in the season to even make it to the JGP that it becomes difficult to keep up that form.

Yeah, I'm checking out her scores the amount of tournaments to make it to the JGP is insane (more so last season), but it is a country of 1 billion plus I suppose.
