2025 JGP Solidarity Cup Free Dance

i scored 55 in women and 60 in pairs  overall it doesn't look bad
I just recalculated mine and WOW I also got 55 in women and 60 in pairs :wonder: I thought since I didn't put Alica & Chen/Dong I am screwed, but it's actually not bad indeed.

(P.S. I swear to figure skating gods that I didn't copy your homework 🤣)

i know i know, it's that great minds think alike :ROFLMAO:

anyway i don't have problems with people getting inspired by my predictions, it's that sometimes, being a cacti fan, i bomb bad :ROFLMAO: so maybe it's not a great idea

only men find that movie creepy and unsettling
It was directed by a man who was angry at his ex. Mandatory suicide? People being burned alive? Yeah she's treated disdainfully but that doesn't justify the fate of the "quests" who are both male and female but if you find that satisfying that's your right. As is mine to find it creepy and again you are being reductive.

someone is edgy today? have a chamomille. you find me reductive? you're entitled to that, you're also entitled to interpret a 3 words comment as you wish, as i'm entitled to roll my eyes at this angry comment.

Hello everyone! Appreciate all crown comments, fully knowing they are not everyone's gig and aesthetic;)
I wasn't able to do everything I planned as I'm under the weather since Tuesday, but tried my best to make skaters feel appreciated. And a story that got me emotional because before FD started, I got approached by Layla family and given something very Canadian as a gift for my "generosity". I never expect something for what I do, seeing skating live is enough, but the gesture made me feel very appreciated.

yeah... I am afraid two silvers won't be good enough for Charlie and Cayden this time.... too bad because they have improved so much and skated so well.

Those crowns look like something out of Midsommer and are glving me the creeps. But objectively they are a nice gesture.
Actually they are cherished by skaters; ice dancer Emily Zingas has at least two and loves receiving them. Watching skaters receive is a joy 🤩

So glad about that and they are lovely but they reminded me of a film that gave me the creeps. This is the last time I will be commenting on this website. I'll just take advantage of the other things GS has to offer as I have for over two decades.

I get the film reference and your reaction to it. It is dark humored fun imv but others in my circle wouldn’t think so either😺 wish you all the best🫶🏼

Flower crowns are associated with traditional dress of some Eastern European countries such as Poland, Ukraine, Slovakia and Czechia.

In Eastern European cultures, particularly Ukraine and Poland, flower crowns, or vinok, symbolize purity, fertility, and national identity for unmarried women. Worn for centuries and connected to pre-Christian traditions, they are featured in traditional folk attire for festivals and holidays such as summer solstice. The practice is experiencing a cultural revival, serving as a tangible link to heritage and a means of expressing national pride in those countries, especially Ukraine.

When I see a flower crown, I think of it more like a celebration of national pride and less so its pagan origins, although it still plays a part in summer solstice traditions like unmarried girls putting the flower crown in the water to predict the direction of one's future husband. It is also worn during weddings by the bride, and sometimes the groom in the above mentioned countries. I think it is nice that others are so appreciative of Eastern European cultures :)
