Another easy win for Ilia! I managed to not hear the voiceovers the first time I saw this program, but now I cannot unhear them. Ilia’s confident and consistent. The other guys need to get it together because they’re nowhere close to him right now.

Actually, I am for once with Chris platitudes. For once, it is what the word means. Sensational. With lighter content Ilia has a skate that just feeds from his voice overs and the skating becomes crescendo.

Adam got better PCS - by 0.26 pts. It's funny and not funny at the same time.

At this specific event, I am not as annoyed by the PCS scoring because the other men here were not clean and there is no Yuma Kagiyama, Jason Brown, or Kevin Aymoz here, whom all should never be beaten by Malinin in PCS. Ilia is the only skater who was clean in both the SP and the FS. Team Siao Him Fa really needs to figure out the SP. The judges can’t fully reward a skater who consistently bombs the SP with high PCS, and that is totally understandable.

Ilia has gotten PR lessons. He is ready for his Olympic endorsements.

I was thinking the exact same thing. He definitely got trained on flexing his personality to be more marketable and palatable to audiences.

I actually quite warmed up to Ilia’s skating at this competition. For so long I have been saying that I would love to see him tone down the difficulty and skate clean and he did that here. What a deserved and impressive win! Congrats to him! This set of programs from him this season may be my favorites of what he has delivered so far in his career.
