Wonderful way to end this competition. Love Shun doing Firebird and and letting out his inner divo--I want even more red in the costume. I so want to see him deliver this program at the olympics. He should continue to grow into it as the season continues and he'll sell the last third even better.

What a great way to finish a messy event! Shun Sato will win his second GP title in China, this was a really strong free skate from him. The jumps were gorgeous and you can see his improved musicality and sensitivity to the music. I'd still like to see a little more performance from him but that's my only negative comment; this will really help him earn his way onto the Japanese men's Olympic team.

What a good skate here. I am happy that he finally getting rewarded for what he can do. I feel that is so over looked in Japan. I hope that he manages to make the Olympics.

Yay! Clean Sato! Once the jumps were done, I started praying that he doesn’t do anything unnecessary like falling on his steps or invalidating a spin. I think the music is too dramatic for him but this was a great way to end this competition.

I'm so happy, I really enjoyed this program from him at Dreams on Ice, his subsequent injury made me worry but he really just showed he's Olympics-ready: not just the jumps but also the physical conditioning and management. Just a stark contrast to the other Japanese men not Yuma right now.
