The 11 pm start does have the advantage that I can get back from band in time! I will admit that the finishes are rather late here, though. What were Skate Canada thinking? Don't they know they should schedule the competitions around lunch time so that we Europeans can watch it comfy in the evening.
Now I will have to watch the whole thing in my turtle PJs!!
They're talking about Eastern Standard Time (EST). Daylight savings ends on November 2 for most of North America, except in Saskatchewan that observes Central Standard Time all year. This is why there's been discussion of time zones.I am lost. Why are people talking about Estonian time? What does that have to do with Canada and Saskatoon?

As a fellow Michal Březina stalwart from way back in the day, I can attest that no one can question your cacti-spotting credentials. They are unmatched.as the authority on cacti matters i can confirm you like the one that is going to compete here. he's not just any cactus, he's cactus royalty, the one true king of european cacti, his majesty Sasha Selevkactus. the younger one he's the pretender to the cactus throne and a child of darkness, he usually does spooky programs.
What? I'm seeing 1:25 pm PDT, which should be 4:25 EDT.8:30 PM on Saturday for the men's short, yes!
But I still can't wrap my brain around why the time difference is only two hours if on Saturday evening we are still on EDT in the great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Saskatchewan is on MST. My brain is small.![]()

Still good? Here in Europe it is still middle-of-the-night-time.Well I'm glad you posted, I was looking at the time zone converter for the thread and not the actual schedule. You are right, 2:25 Saskatoon time translated to 4;25 Pennsylvania time.
Still good.![]()
Arizona? But not on Navajo Nation land.I’m so glad I live where the time doesn’t fall back or spring forward. Take a guess where that is.
Have fun, my friend. Skating is good for the soul. Today the sun clawed its way to 28 degrees above the Horizon in Spokane (24 degrees in Saskatoon). Except you couldnt see it for the ice fog here. After SkateCanada, and Japanese Western Sectionals, I am headed to San Diego and a cruise to Mexico for a week. I need you to cheer very hard for our fav skaters in the NHK, which I will watch at a later date. I come home just in time to watch SA on demand.. Safe travels to both of us.Well I made it to Saskatoon this afternoon and am now ensconced in the Comfort Suites next to the SaskTel Centre. It appears to be sort of out in the sticks (or boondocks). The places to eat within walking distance are a Husky truck stop restaurant, a Tim Hortons, and possibly a food counter at Costco.
At least the hotel serves breakfast. I’m hoping there might be some reasonable sandwiches or something at the venue.
I was able to get good flight connections by taking a ferry to Victoria BC and flying from there via Vancouver on Air Canada. When I checked flights for some friends in the U.S. it appeared they could probably fly to Europe faster than they could fly here.
PaulE and I went there for SC in 2014. Its a great place for a skating event. Not far for us at all to drive. I have been through there on a bike in the summer and I was amazed both times how polite the drivers were.I'm pretty sure I went to that exact Tim Hortons before I left Kelowna after Skate Canada 2019! I believe I had an Impossible breakfast sandwich, which leads me to another good point about Tim Hortons: it has a nice selection of vegetarian food!
I think Alexander has that devilish charm about him that makes him ohh so very attractive. The youngest one just hasn't got it - sorry!I think Mihhail is nice looking too.
For commentary, it looks to be Chris on the ISU feed.
I thought I remembered reading that he and Emily Chan are datingAleksandr Selevko is the handsome guy that medaled at Europeans. He will also be at Skate Canada this weekend.I can confirm he is handsome, I ran into him at Worlds 2024 and got to tell him that I really liked his short program.
(But he is taken, from what I have heard...)
