You're mathing the wrong way. 8am Pacific time is 11 am Eastern time, so that puts it at 10am central time.

Weird also to me.
And as a small aside: I finally got around to looking at the FD protocol sheet, and the team did not receive any score deduction for the interruption of the program -- although I am 99% sure the rulebook calls for a score deduction, for which the referee is responsible. More weirdness (especially because this referee is very experienced).

Somebody wants them at Nationals is the only explanation.

The last time I saw something like this, it was Papadakis & Cizeron's FD at Jr. Worlds 2013. Papadakis hurt her ankle, they stopped skating, and there was a large delay. There was no trace of this on the score card.

There's 15 spots, and 10 teams have a bye to nationals. That leaves 5 teams vying to advance (if all 10 teams with byes are healthy).

Finally catching up watching all the skating today.

Junior dance - Shame on the coaches/parents for letting Ryan Hu skate, he looked so out of it.. Anyways...for the free dance I really enjoyed Carhart/Bledsoe, Calhoun/Zheltyshev, Vaclavikova/Lissauer.

Senior dance - Melillo/Schapfel are always a fun team, sad they won't be at Nationals but hopefully they continue on. Shocked the Mullens didn't make Nationals, but tough field here today. Hessel/Klaber were funny in the K&C. Cui/Rogers were overall the best today, really really like this team. Her dress is also beautiful. My favs the Peals did great too, excited to see how the next quad goes for them.
