Oh no, I think the pressure of leading really got to this team, they had errors on their normally-solid SBS jumps and lost that entire lift, and then got low levels on their death spiral to add insult to injury. After that, the program fell a bit flat and they got really off the music, I think the material has potential but they were clearly shook by the errors. They'll still make it to the Final but this is far from their potential.

Wow, I didn't expect those mistakes. Just like the Germans, they seemed to be afraid to take their chance.
Nevertheless, it should be enough to get silver overall and qualify.

So, the cleanest skate tonight was Kelly Ann and Loucas. That is really not something which I expected to write.

Whew, nerves are real. They seemed so trained and polished in the SP. Too much rushing? Hugely disappointing.

so many lift mistakes... and even a pair spin fall.

but I will say it again, 141 for Riku and Ryuichi is also a crazy score. That sequence should have been nixed.

ETA : the sequence was nixed so even crazier for them to score 141 with that skate that had tons of small imperfections and a nixed sequence...

I feel gutted for the Georgian team missing a golden opportunity... but the judges really need to do their job here.

But I bet they'll get mid-60's PCS. He literally stood doing nothing for 10 seconds in the middle of that program.

At least H/K's lift issue is easily blamed on a momentary blip and/or his injury, but this is entirely a technique issue.

I feel a little sorry for them, especially Nastya, but if the judges aren't going to crack down on their lift GOEs, maybe this will teach them something.

M/K won because they kept their nerves the best. Overall, I'm mostly glad I saw Canadian team slay
