The sequence was nixed after the review and they got an UR call on the first jump, overall less than 2 points for this element.

Silver lining? But you are not wrong. Also, surprisingly, they also near top in terms of flow and performance. Not to jinx or anything...

Not major mistakes, like all of M/K, H/V, M/B, S-D/D, and C/M have had this season. Not that it matters though, they are in no danger of being the judges’ favorites in time for Milano.
Gosh, I hope not. But thank you for confirming what I thought I saw. I am sick and thought maybe this was a weird fever dream.

The judges wanted to keep them in reach of M/B. So they gave them high PCS. Little did they know what was coming.and they still managed 141 ? How ?

SCI was also a dicey competition for pairs...
Honestly, CoC was probably the best GP of the season at this point (despite the spin fail of McBeath/Parkman and the scoring of Sui/Han), crossing fingers for Finlandia.

but they could snag a bronze if everyone keeps messing up... just the way Kelly Ann and Loucas did... not awarded by judged but by their own means and by others messing up badly.

They still were not 4th best in the FS IMO. Flubbing both SBS, a bailed lift. Behind the music. And sorry while I commend trying something different on the death spiral, that's a hella unaesthetic fan-spiral position and they should change that.
64.37 PCS.
A judge gave them a -1 for a stepout on their 3T with no combo.
As mentioned, there was a very obvious glitch of him standing-there-doing-nothing with his hands at his sides that he did right after their pairs spin (and they get 8.25's and 8.50s... come on).
Gross judging.
The Japanese were really strong save for the axel error (I was half-expecting the tech panel to count the 2A's but they correctly negated them because of her shuffling her feet after the 3T) - her 3S was borderline but nice putting that mid-program. They have such speed - they actually accelerate. I don't really like this version of Gladiator (it's Cortina friendly I guess being operatic and all), but I think it can set themselves up for an Olympic moment.

I'm really happy about Loucas and Kelly Ann from Canada, I love them, I find that they are really the future after Deanna and Max retire.

I'm glad the Canadians placed 2nd in the FS, deservedly so. Great fight too on the double axels getting them back in sync. Lots of stuff they can build on here, and they could actually push P/M for the 2nd Canadian Olympic spot if the latter isn't on point. Shame on the judges for nailing them on GOE (one judge gave their 3S a 0 and the Georgians' stepout-no-combo a mere -1). But the bronze is a testament to their success, and the system actually working (no matter how much they were held back in the SP and FS, their base value and pretty clean execution could not deny them the podium.
