2026 Midwestern Sectional Singles and U.S. Pairs Final

Oh boy, Taira. That 3A, that almost seemed like it was landed before the fall. I wonder how that will be judged (is it possible to get positive GOE and a F?). His combo jump was similarly plagued.

Ugh. Alex doesn’t have the tech so has to be squeaky clean, but he’s not …

And yes, French. Very very odd choice. But at least it isn’t Coldplay.

Elanzo brought his own cheering section. He is adorable and I’m about to adopt him.

I have been watching the Midwestern sectionals. The U.s. has promising in all disciplines from juvenile to juniors.

I wonder why the senior men of Daniel Martynov, Lorenzo, Kai Kovar seem to not be able to translate or skate in international completions as they did in the Midwestern sectionals.

They are good. They could challenge for an Olympic spot o. U.S. team .

I haven't seen them skate that well
I didnt realize their talent or potential.

The u.s. has the talent

Just have to say that Olivia Jung, who won novice pairs and 3rd in novice women, is such a star. Can't wait to see her develop even more. How old is she? Her partner looks so much older than her (bio in the rink website says he's in college).

So sad for him. Hopefully he can rally in the free. He needs to really be on to make up the points. This is men so anything can happen...Congrats to the fellas that skated really well today.

Daniel Martynov is being coached currently by Tracy Wilson/Brian Orser. He still lists Amodio/Fedorchenko as choreographers. I think this coaching change just happened recently.
