2025 GP Finlandia Trophy: General Info and Pregame Chat

Eating fast food and snacks or drinking non-alcohol drinks on your seat is allowed, but drinking alcohol is not outside the areas marked as alcohol-serving areas. It is the same rule in all sport events everywhere here and is based on Finnish alcohol law.

How do Penny and Nick coach them when they train at Iceworks? Or they did - did they move?

I will love James forever for marking through the calories of every ítem of food that came into the house with a sharpie when he was dating my Queen.
I don't know where they currently train, other than it's somewhere in the US East Coast - this is what I could find about Nick's coaching: https://www.pschs.org/coach-bios

I'm really impressed with Nick's teams - he coaches an American Advanced Novice team, siblings Katherine Li and James Zhu - they were outstanding at the Bolero Cup.

At this point, my Friday is ruined by my Thursday night... so I have no idea how much I will be able to live stream...

Long story short, my condo building has magnetic door locks and mine just decided to die. I was coming home from work... 10h30PM... and couldn't get inside my place until 1h30AM.... At least, I am home and safe and now, finally fed... but tomorrow will be hectic with the door needing to be repaired and other things like medical exams and more work...

So take care of my Canadian skaters :). Rare thing to have so many of them competing in a GP that is not Skate Canada.
I will cheer them on - I have my Canadian flag with me!

They are listed on Iceworks site as “Junior Coaches” but Iceworks site tends to be months, sometimes years, out of date.

Huh. I just looked and Mark and Penny are listed as Iceworks coaches. Very odd.

Just looked at my predictions and realized my last changes did not register.
I had replaced Samoldelkina and Jimmy Ma and somehow did not save them.
I was so busy keeping up with Midwestern Sectionals - Oh well...

Nick Buckland is at Iceworks, according to this interview from March 2024.

Do they pull down the ISU programs from Finlandia pretty quick after they happen? They don't have them available for replay? I was hoping to snag a personal copy of one of the men for my collection from You Tube. If they do, then grrrrrrrrrrrrr

They are still there? (Unless the particular one you are after has had a copyright strike - I haven't checked each skater is still there?)

I cannot find the programs from ISU's site as I wanted to rewatch some but the links put his forum do work. They do not start immediately but if you wait some seconds, the play button appears.
