Yes, she teamed up with Aiden Dotzert. They competed at Ontario sectionals and should be at Challenge next week. They should also be at Nationals since I don't think there are enough teams for a cut off.
Challenge is next week already??

I was more getting at my contention that 187 would be 4th or worse... if they judge like that in the free, 187 might win it all

Great showing by GoGo today!
If he's even moderately close at Nationals, it'll be hard for me not to want him to get the spot. It would not just be great for his development, but he's putting up the results... and seeing as Roman is past the age where his development should be a driver in decision making.

I was away on vacation for the past two weeks. So, I’m slowly was catching up on the competitions and I’m so proud of our Canadian skaters.
Ice Dance
I’m so proud of LaLa in SA. A silver medal was the best result I could expect and they got that. Looks like they will just miss the GP Finals.
P&P - Something tells me they will be off the podium by the Olympics. They have to watch out and make sure the Americans (whom I love) and Spaniards Don’t beat them in the free dance section (which, I think is possible) tmrw. I wish they had picked original programs
(wishing them luck tmrw… I prefer LaLa, but, I like P&P, as people, and hope they do well tmrw
Pairs
Kelly’s reaction to her score and then winning a bronze medal was the highlight of SA for me. I’m so proud of their accomplishment. They could finish top ten in the grand prix circuit this season
Lia & Trentt were robbed and should have placed first. But, skating first could be better for them. Less pressure. I hope they finally surpass 200 tmrw to land on the podium.
Ladies
Maddie returning back to her Lion King program was a smart suggestion by Skate Canada. I think she should skate to this program in the free skate, as well. She comes alive with Lion King. This is the Maddie who can place us well in the team event if she skates like she does to
all the time. If she scores 180+ tmrw, it will be her and Gabby duking it out at Nationals for the lone Olympic spot. Still rooting for Gabby though.
Men
Keegan and Wesley are not skating to their usual standard.
Roman and Gogo have just wowed me. To have two top twenty male skaters, is fantastic. Like this season, they both put out good SP’s in Finland. I’m hoping for a surprise podium finish. It is just amazing how they are both pushing each other to top ten in the world levels. I’m becoming more confident with them the more I watch them. Also, when the commentator mentioned GoGo is the youngest competitor at 20, that wowed me, as I always thought he was mid 20s. GoGo can still lead us well into the next Olympic cycle.

Lia and Trennt didn't do a good free again. Wonder if here they got discouraged by being 4th in the short after having the best short of the night. Knowing that even if you skate well the judges still favour others, could be a big downer. Hope this will fuel them to get even stronger and better.
In this case it wasn’t the jump itself, they clipped blades as they started crossovers after.
Think they stay for another quad? For pairs men, 33/34 isn’t out of the realm.

he missed his sequence (only did single axel) and he fell on the salchow. I wasn't talking about the fluke falls...
GoGo and Roman are really putting up a fight for that Olympic spot. It is so good to have two men pushing each other this way. Think both of them should have been up a bit more in PCS, which might have even put GoGo in 2nd place. And had Roman been able to go without any qs, we might have have had 2 men on the podium. ( I know, not really but wishful thinking! )
They are disappointing pair to watch now for me. I think knowing they are going to Olympics is making them comfortable/ complacent? Not a knock on them, i think it’s just a natural thing (ie the cdn men) thankfully they are forced to go harder this season. Lia Trent have had a few seasons of struggles now. Finally Lia makes the throws and Trent messed up twice! Eek on the jumps
