2025-26 Retirements, Splits and New Partnerships

It's always sad to read when a skater has to quit for health reasons, regardless of whether it's physical health or mental health. Hopefully Eva feels a lot happier now, and good luck to her in the new chapter of her life! Perhaps she'll gravitate towards a skating-related career such as a therapist or a choreographer since she says she loves skating a lot. Anyways, she'll be missed as I liked her skating style and originality.

That didn't take long (they had been skating together since 2023 I think). It was nice to have a Romanian couple in ID. I am saddened.

I've found out only yesterday when reading one of the first pages that Tkachenko/Kiliakov retired. I was shocked. Damn, this is so sad & inexplicable to me. I loved this team and they are so young. Liz is still just a teenager. I wonder whether some internal shenanigangs in Israeli fed & the possible conflict with their coach Galit Chait are not behind it.

They were not coached by Chait. They were coached by his father in Virginia.

Ok, I stand corrected. I saw someone saying that somewhere, I guess that person was misled by Chait sometimes sitting with them in K'n'C. They had heaps of potential as proven by their junior worlds medal.

New pair: Ekaterina Geynish/Marco Zandron (Uzbekistan)
