British National Championships, 26-30 November 2025

Henry and Lily also looked very good yesterday - I think they have great potential as a team.

It was such a treat to have seven teams competing in senior dance - I enjoyed all seven programmes yesterday, and especially Phebe and James's.
They look a tall elegant couple, a good debut for Lily & Henry. I'm so pleased Lily has found a partner again. Just need to work on flexibility and arm elegance next season.

Yes absolutely agree! I enjoyed all of them.

I think Henry and Lily are longtime friends? They looked like a good partnership, excited to see all the new teams progress I think next season will be a treat if they keep at it!

It's interesting, I wasn't sure about Phebe and James's free dance at first, but they are beginning to really sell it and I am beginning to love it!

Just before things get underway today, I just wanted to say that I really loved Lilah and Lewis' Free Dance programme. And that is coming from somebody that doesn't normally like their programmes. Such a pity that Lilah had that mishap on the Twizzles.

It has been so long since I saw Sophia that I wouldn't have recognised her! :drama: Good to see her and Antonio winning the 🥉 Bronze Medals.

I did find the Podium Ceremony amusing. First of all, Sophia and Antonio weren't ready, and Jenny waited for them. Eventually, she got fed up and announced them, and Antonio came out on his own, with Sophia coming a while later. Then the guy giving out the medals didn't realise that he was supposed to wait until they were all on the podium, and went ahead and give out the medals as each partnership arrived!

Hopefully things will go smoother for today's Podium Ceremonies.

The final day of the British Championships begins now with the remaining Free Dances, then we have all the Pairs Free Skates, and finally the remaining Singles Free Skates.

Livestream for the Basic Novice Free Dance is now on air.

All the other information you may need can be found in the OP of this thread.

I'll join you in between finishing my Sunday Dinner, and the Formula 1 coverage starting.

Hope this helps

It's a shame that we seem to have so few ice dancers coming through at the moment. There used to be a lot more novice teams. I don't know why the numbers have dropped now - it isn't from the pandemic, because that would be impacting the older skaters.

Decent skate from Annabel and Jack. They need to work on making the ends of moves more graceful - particularly the lift dismounts.

Great skate from Ashlie and Louis. You can see the progress even since JGP. I think Louis might have put a foot down on the second twizzle, but I'm not sure.

Just arrived back from eating, but since there is a resurfacing coming up after Ashlie and Louis, I'm winding back to the start of the Junior Free Dance.

Wind back to the basic novice. :)

Don't worry, I am planning on watching them later. But, I want to try to get the Junior Dancers and Junior Pairs watched before the F1 coverage starts.

We're back.

I had been hoping that with the Ice Dancing finishing ahead of schedule that the Pairs would start earlier. Perhaps at the top of the hour instead of ten past. But, alas, they didn't.

Consequently, I will only see Group 1 LIVE. I had hoped to watch the Group 2 Warm-Up as well before I left. But, hey. The whole of Group 2 and the Seniors will have to wait until this evening after the F1 is over.

They did announce that there would be a longer break and they would restart on schedule.

Yeah, but I started playing catch-up on the Juniors as soon as I arrived back. So, I didn't hear Jenny saying that it until I had finished watching them.

Hey, it's better for the Pairs skaters not to mess about with the schedules. And at the end of the day, they are most important. So, even if it is would work better for me if they didn't, I don't mind them sticking to schedule.

Just watched Atl & Mia winning another international silver medal for Germany.🥈 I consider Atl to be as talented as Olivia Smart, so yet another huge loss to British ice dance. He really looks like a Senior now. No doubt will have a great career. But I still feel heartbroken. 😔💔

Thank you for the heads up @CaroLiza_fan 👍

Sophie DRACAS / Pelham WRIGHT (Slough) skating to Disturbed's cover of "The Sound Of Silence". Sophie is wearing a very short black dress, and Pelham is also wearing all black.

I know a lot of people are fed up with this song being skated to, but I like it.

Not a bad start to the competition.

Sophie seems happy with the scores. Pelham just looks bewildered.
