2025 Epinal Solo Ice Dance International | Dec 5-7

The 2025 Épinal Solo Ice Dance International will be held in Épinal, France, December 5-7, 2025, at the Patinoire Intercommunale.

The event will feature the Novice through Senior divisions and will be conducted in accordance with the ISU International Solo Ice Dance Competition Guidelines, ISU General Rules and Requirements, and the International Solo Ice Dance Competition Guidelines.

Elżbieta GABRYSZAK (POL) is a double Polish Senior Ladies Champion, and was the 2017 Crystal Skate of Romania Senior Ladies Gold Medallist (I didn't recognise the names of any of the other 4 competitiors). She is married to Michał WOŹNIAK (POL), who is Ioulia CHTCHETININA's current Pairs partner.

Assuming that it is the same girl, Hannah KIM (USA) has mostly competed domestically. But in one of the few international assigments she has had, she was the Bronze Medallist in Advanced Novice Ladies at the Maria Olszewska Memorial last season.

I have only ever known Megan PARNELL-MURPHY (GBR) competing in Solo Dance, but her day job is being a coach. She won the Gold Medal in Senior Solo Dance at the Maria Olszewska Memorial last season. She is married to the first skater to represent Ireland in the Junior GP Series, Vivian PARNELL-MURPHY (IRL).

A couple of names from Ice Dance jumped out at me.

Lou TERREAUX (FRA) is the former partner of Noé PERRON, who is the new Ice Dance partner of Nadiia BASHYNSKA (CAN). Lou and Noé were the Silver Medallists at the Universiade last season.

Ninon TERREAUX (FRA) was also an Ice Dancer, but her former partners haven't gone on to make names of themselves.

In Juniors, the only name I recognised was Michaela Maria GEORGALAKIS (SVK), and that was because I was curious about her surname when she was competing at the Maria Olszewska Memorial last season, so I looked her up and found out that her family was from Malta. She finished in 4th position there.

Brooke Tufts in Senior is one of the top solo dancers, she's been the US solo dance champion.

There's also Chaima Ben Khelifa in Junior, she's competed on the JGP with Everest Zhu previously.

Brooke Tufts is trained by Igor Lukanin who not only coaches the next generation of ice dancers but solo dance as well. On his Krigorstudio sites he hosts Brooke Tufts with a little, fine documentary.
