Shun Sato's interview after SP:

"I was surprisingly calm. Even after the Lutz became a triple, I was able to switch gears and finish without any major mistakes, which was great. I was reminded a little of last year's All Japan Championships before my performance, but I think I was able to switch gears properly and do well. But I think the mistake on the Lutz was painful, so I'll switch gears and do my best in the free skate."

Tomono Kazuki's interview after SP:

"(At the end) all I could do was laugh. I was truly at my best right until the very end. I think I let everything out - the atmosphere in the venue, my mistakes, my flaws - it all came out. The atmosphere in the venue today was so warm and supportive, even before I even performed. It's still the short program, but even just talking about it makes me want to cry. In the free program, I savored it as if I was returning the favor. It was a program that allowed me to take on the atmosphere in the venue entirely, so I hope that after it's over, that feeling will spread and create an atmosphere that will lead to a happy ending."

oh Kao with happy tears in the kiss & cry... can't we send more than three men to the Olympics? They all deserve to go and become Olympians, it's such a hard choice to leave someone as brilliant as Kao or Kazuki at home

Haru is skating so much stronger than NHK as he comes back from injury, it's very nice to end the event with a tidy, clean program. He always has gorgeous lines and carriage.

Sato should be set for a spot as long as he does decently in the LP, I think?

For me, Miura is the better choice for that third spot than Tomono, but it'll all depend on how it shakes out.

For me, Miura is the better choice for that third spot than Tomono, but it'll all depend on how it shakes out.

He's been the most consistent man internationally, helped them secure the 3 spots in the first place and has the second highest world standing. I'd like to see how the JSF would explain not putting him on the Team.
